Spencer Square — Local services in Pasadena

Crusty Kroger location. There are never any lanes open at the store, always self checkout. It's always random when they decide the lock the inner doors, so usually anytime after 7 you're forced to walk through the self checkout exit door and through the sea of infinite customers checking out at self checkout. Make that make sense. If you are fortunate enough to have lanes open it's maybe two at best. They have a secondary checkout lane on the opposite side of the store. Do they ever use that at night? Nope! They probably should since there are a lot of people who shop at night before the store closes. The employees always working the self checkout take forever to render assistance. Sometimes they just stand there at their kiosk doing nothing. Like hello, there's a giant blinking light and an audible cue that someone needs help!? What more do you have to do? This inconvenience takes away from the pros of the store selection and hours of operation. I'd like to like to store, but these mentioned cons make me absolutely dread coming in to...

If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service and communication at this location is so bad. I called and let them know that I was keeping my appointments for my fur babies on 09/27/2025 at 10:30am. Right after our call I received a text that my appointments were booked. Then at 7pm I get a call from Dion telling me that since I didn’t confirm my appointments that they were canceled. I then proceeded by asking why would I confirm if I just got off the phone with the other employee who said the appointments were scheduled. Dion proceeded by saying that the appointments were canceled and that all they had was a 1pm. I can’t make the 1 pm because I’m going out of town and that’s the reason I booked for the morning. The only reason I have stayed at this location is because Julie is amazing and my fur babies love her. If she wasn’t there I would have relocated to another location...

the staff has changed,😔,hope the crew can find a way to mesh together, 😉 and,btw,please be aware that the "fresh" produce is NOT there, guys,go to HEB for the fruits and veggies, yes, a little more,but at LEAST you ARE getting what you pay for, still enjoy the people who actually recognize you, and actually engage in EVEN a small conversation........it GOES A LONG WAY!!!!!! start treating people like the phone you're on all day ....and please, don't go into the restaurant/bar industry,unless you truly want to know HOW to treat others!!!! you will be offended,but what most people are saying is......look in the mirror, NOT on the phone😎 it's actually good for the soul,and your bills,be safe and...
