This Hospital said my mother didn't meet criteria for admission. That was a very uneducated decision that they made because they made it based on them speaking only to a dementia patient. They refused the patient of the right to a surrogate which the patient had me act as the surrogate at every other hospital or facility that they were in since July 13th. No other Hospital refused right of surrogate to speak on behalf of cognitively impaired patient. My mom was discharged from Singing River and we immediately brought her to Merit Biloxi where she did meet criteria for admission and was indeed admitted for 9 days. Upon discharge her dementia diagnosis was confirmed to be vascular dementia, bipolar was also confirmed after having been denied at Singing River, schizophrenia, narcissistic personality disorder, etc. all confirmed. The fact that my mother was admitted and kept for 9 days at merit immediately after being discharged from Singing River Pascagoula proves that Singing River failed to uphold their duties of not discharging patients that are at risk of harming themselves. Simply because Singing River did not like the paperwork that I presented to them or my attitude after they denied my mother the right of a surrogate which she had at every doctor's visit and every hospital visit and stay since July 13th mysterious fall where she broke several bones and does not remember ever falling, SINGING RIVER PASCAGOULA ER DEPARTMENT FILED A FICTITIOUS ADULT PROTECTION SERVICES REPORT that was closed due to being unsubstantiated and in which they did not even provide my mother's proper address to APS because they did not know that my mother had to move in with me after having been deemed incompetent at the hospital she went to immediately following Singing River hospital ER. Me being the only blood relative that is willing to flip my entire life upside down in order to provide my mother with a home where she will receive proper care instead of being placed in a nursing home.... Well my husband who has so graciously accepted my mother into my home, my mother and myself, most certainly did not deserve to have a fictitious report made and have someone from APS want to invade our home simply because they Singing River ER employees didn't like my attitude after they refused to thoroughly evaluate my Mom. Again let me remind anyone reading this you cannot thoroughly evaluate a dementia patient by only speaking to them. They cannot repeat things exactly as they were told. They do not know everything about themselves so you must speak to the caregiver or you cannot get all facts which are indeed necessary if you want to make an educated decision regarding the patient. Best advice I could give you is this place is not competent enough to handle a dementia patient or anyone else with mental impairment.Take any mentally impaired patient to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just spent 18 days in SRHS (Pascagoula) , 4 days medical then moved to Skilled Nursing Facility for rehabilitation. My nurses were very nice and helpful, except one nurse was very rude. Don't expect any help during shift change. Nurses are too busy doing reports and exchanging gossip. If your gonna have heart attack, wait until 8 o'clock. SRHS bought beds that continuously moved which was supposed to prevent bed sores. My bed moved and made noises which made it hard to sleep,. On June 30 they moved me to Skilled Nursing Facility on 1st floor. The staff was extremely courteous and anxious to help. The physical therapist were great. Special thanks to Lee, Ashton, Ryan and Jennifer. The food was great and a good variety on the menu. I had the bed from hell. It was very old and made weird loud noises. I had to unplug it in order to sleep. When the air leaked out the middle of the bed sunk down to the metal. I had to stay close to the edge of the bed where there was cushion. Everyone that saw it said that I needed a better bed. Three days before my dicharge they brought a brand new bed that didn't have the moving, it was just a bed and I got the best sleep for two nights.. The nurses aides were exemely nice and helpful. Housekeeping shouldn't clean at 5 am. My room was very nice and when my niece came and stayed with me, they offered her a cot or recliner. Overall, I can't complain, they fixed me. I needed a Urologist and a Neurologist, but I only have Medicare, so neither showed up. I'm a disabled Vietnam Vet so I'll go to VA and get on the list to see the specialist. I'm expecting a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRefused emergency medical & told have Ingall's worker's comp pay for it & well those cases nearly eight years & no resolve; suffering in MS & yet other states provided necessary medical to prevent paralyzation & came back & MS refused cooperate & allowing Ingalls do whatever they want & it's HURTING THE PEOPLE MORE THAN MS OR ANY COUNTRY REALIZES!!! BEES/SHOCKING PPL TO ALLOW THEIR EXISTING EMPLOYEES STIFFED PPL TO DO AS THEY PLEASE & CONTINUE SAME. They even came to CA 2500 miles away to do the dirty work & there are numerous victims. Jr want to be management who took the trip. Singing River Hospital gave me someone elses' medical tests/records upon discharge. HIPPA VIOLATION!!!! A different visit I was harassed by the Hospital's Security & held security certification for a different state/country at time & had the flu & could barely speak & their Hospital Security insisted I give him by DL to verify who I was just as soon as I walked out of ER & I had to call the OSPD, who just gave it to him. There was no reason to stop me; much less harass me & he just wanted to write my identifying info in his lil black book to use me & that isn't acceptable. Furthermore, OS in general needs major improvements. Take my word for it!!! The ER doctor who refused me medical during one emergency...sadly a person w/ the same name suffered death & was murdered. It happened to hit an Ingall's employee of whom I have worker's comp cases against, instead of the ER Doctor who is refusing emergency care. Specifically discriminated against due to having a...
