Absolutely ridiculous! We applied for snap benefits and at the same time and asked us if we wanted to catch assistance on the same application so we said why not that would be a big help it’s me and my wife and a newborn son and we only have my wife’s minimal unemployment income, which does not even cover half of the rent right now since I lost my job. We applied and immediately got denied for cash assistance because I was making too much on unemployment. However, my unemployment ended more than five weeks before I got that letter was dated. I have been calling about my snap benefits to make sure they do not deny it for the same reasons before I can explain to them what is going on and I emailed them all the documents from my unemployment counselor even screens from the unemployment system, my counselor gave me proving that I have been done unemployment. I have written them back through the mail and I have called and they said call back in 10 days and when I call back, it was only nine days and she actually had the nerve to get an attitude with me because I called back early. This was about two weeks ago. I haven’t heard anything cents and I’ve been calling almost every day, and it tells me I have X number of minutes to wait and I’m number five in line and then I’m number three in line and then I’m number one in line and when it comes finally turn my turn it just hangs up and says leave a message I’ve called maybe 20 to 30 times over the past four days and I can’t get anybody to answer my call and the last two weeks every time I called they said we’re gonna make a note for them to review your case when I lived in Bergen County about six years ago I got snap benefits and it was the easiest process ever Passaic county is the absolute worst when it comes to this and I only write this because very rarely in my life as I have I needed help, but with a newborn baby and not being able to afford the rent, I am truly truly scared, and formula is so expensive it takes up literally a third of our income at this moment. Aside from our rent, and every other bill we have. Shame on this office absolute shame somebody really needs to be fired a new management because they don’t care about anybody and they are really hurting people probably more than they are...

One of the worst social service departments in passaic county, our social worker assigned to us has been given me and my wife such a awful experience everytime we go there for the past few years for our food coupons. She is obviously very rude towards me n my wife, seems she is always uncomfortable working with the people she is suppose to be helping and assisting with. She gives off a very bitter attitude energy. even before she greetings or welcomes us. She seems to wanting to belittle us at any moment. We simply go there for help and asistents like everyone else needing it from our local social service department, not to go there and wasting time aguring and fighting over things that greatly dont matter. She is very unprofessional with the way she handles people coming to see her and obviously they never awnser the phone there which is also lack of professionalism. Hopefully we'll be able to change our social worker. I am making a complaint towards her in Paterson, NJ and also giving the superior a call. Honestly she doesn't deserve that postion in here job as a social worker just because she horribly lacks the socializing part of helping her people coming in looking for her help as a...

I can say A LOT about this place but it will take me to write a book to say everything that I need to say but I will say that the front desk and one security officer there were Horrible, Very Rude, Very Nasty and Very Disrespectful to me and other people too there and they lack customer service skills and no manners at all

No one Answers the phone no matter which prompt you press NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE no matter what time of the day I call

You cannot Ever get through to anyone there, it’s frustrating to say the least

I definitely WILL get to the bottom of my situation that this incompetent, horrible, irresponsible office caused me and is still causing me

The State will definitely know about this because this is HORRIBLE and DISGUSTING how this place is run

Even if I have to call the governor myself
