Look, I didn't put negative ⭐️'s because there is no option. I went here with my family and some cousins who were new to the country. We order a mixed order of Sushi and suddenly I see a hair rolled up inside the sushi. 🤢 It made me sick and there was still a lot of food to eat. My cousin found a piece of aluminum foil in his sushi. Afterwards, the waitress called to tell her and she took the piece of Sushi to the kitchen. And she never come back , only to give the check. I was confused why she didn't say something more, maybe “excuse me,” maybe “let me get the manager.” She told me nothing. Then the manager comes I tell him what happened and he goes to talk to the waitress. Then the waitress comes back and tells me that the black hair I found in my sushi looked like blonde (because i had blonde hair). I was in shock that she was creating the story that I put my hair in the food. I didn't believe it. I was insulted I was just oblivious as to why she was going this route. cause this has never happened to me before, that someone had such a damaged and dirty mind to create a false story. Then I looked at her and said “wait a minute, the hair was black and you saw it”…she stayed silent and left. What I had to say was “look, take off your glasses and clean them cause they aren't working for you, or I can take out your eyes out myself and help you find the hair up close” But since I was too patient, I didn't want to do anything else but leave. . The manager returned with 3 pieces of cake for his apology. I didn't eat the cake and left. But I would never come back to this place , my stomach still churns at the thought of it. The boss and the Dominican waiter with glasses joined together to back up this mess. They watched out for each-other backs and held no accountability for the mess, who knows what else they’ve swept under the rug. I have to de parasite myself after eating here , it’s so bad that I get the ick anytime I think...
Read moreI went to Mamasushi on Sunday 9/22 for brunch to celebrate my birthday. I invited about 20-25 people. I made the reservation weeks prior and I even went in person the Friday before to confirm details. I confirmed details like how everyone will be paying since I didn’t want any confusion with checks and to let them know how many people I invited. I made my reservation for 1pm and I was told that everyone can bring cash so everyone can have their own check. I thought that everything was set and we were good to go for the brunch.
When I got to Mamasushi at 1 for my reservation I had about 5 people with me and I was told right there and then that half the people I invited had to be there in order for us to sit (I was not told this when I made the reservation initially or when I went in person). So I had to wait for other people which pushed into my time there. Brunch was only from 1-4pm. I finally had about half of the people I invited which was 10 of us but we were then told we had to have 15 people in order for us to sit. After we were there for a while, I told them that I wasn’t told initially how many people had to be there so they finally sat me and the 10 people down.
After about 20-30 minutes they finally took our order for food but they were quick to ask us if we wanted hookah after we sat down. One of my family members told me she got charged extra by one of the waitresses and now she can’t get her money back. The plates of food were pretty small and the waitresses were reaching over people to put food on the table. Also, when it was time to pay the check, they did exactly what I didn’t want them to do which was put everything together. My best friend doesn’t even work there and she had to go around to collect money. All of this could have been avoided if they did what they said they were going to do. I definitely won’t be going back...
Read morecame at 11:00pm on a friday night. asked if we can still order food when we were seated and was told by the host yes. also one of the two black couples in the entire establishment, i looked around the entire time we waited at the bar and sat. waited 30 minutes to sit, waited 20 minutes before asking a different waitress “is a waitress coming to our table?” waited a bit longer, she finally comes and tells us the kitchen is closed and we can only order drinks. i walk to the host stand where the owner is also standing and tell her we waited almost an hour to be then told we can’t order food and that otherwise we wouldn’t have come. 20 more minutes of watching the host walk back and forth then the waitress comes back to tell us we can only order raw sushi and my friend can’t even eat any of those options. a horrible customer service experience and felt as if we were sat directly next to the do because we were two of the few black people as well as the establishment was doing everything it could to make our experience as unpleasant as possible because we were the small black portion here. the owner had an uncaring attitude the two times i spoke with him and the host about having our time wasted and being lied to about being able to order. will not be coming here again as well as will be telling all of my friends from this town and other towns to never come here. overall a terrible experience here at mama sushi and it was my first time here. here’s the photo of us directly under the duh booth where we couldn’t hear eachother speak while sitting inches away from eachother the entire time. would not reccomend coming here if you are any other minority other...
