Roman´s Pizzeria Restaurant — Restaurant in Passaic

Wow I am apauled at how this place has changed! I ordered a pie and fried calamari, I asked the young lady who took my order to make both well done. When I received my order the calamari was Burnt and smelle like gas. When I went to taste the calamari it was absolutely disgusting. All burned and even tasted like gas or something. It was horrible. I called the restaurant immediately after receiving my delivery. The owner had the nerve to tell me “next Time don’t ask for it well done”. Unbelievable! He then said he would send me a fresh order. I settled and went on to trying the pizza. The pizza also had a gas like taste to it. At this point I’m just so disappointed I have to feed my child this. I called back and asked for my money back for the calamari. The owner was completely Rude. Said I was asking for too much. I expressed to him that I really don’t think it’s even healthy to eat the food when it’s smelling and tastes like gas. He pretty much said I asked for it and that he would return my money when he was about to close and just hung up on my face while i was still talking. Absolutely unprofessional! Best in Passaic and dare i say a good 10 mile radius outside NYC. Think Famous/Original Rays' Pizza in NJ. As good as it gets for traditional soft crust new york style pizza. they use a very nice sweet marinara and just the right amount of cheese. Nice big foldable slices. One of my favorite pizzerias! they're pizza is so good! they're very generous with cheese and they're crust is always so soft and fluffy. I used to go to Tonys before he left to Italy and I know the owner worked with him but in my opinion he perfected the recipe it taste even better than my childhood pizza! Great, fresh food always. Food's fine. Delivered super promptly. Unfortunately the order was not read back and was entered incorrectly. When I called to make sure they hadn't delivered the wrong order and the girl, super polite, said no. She had just written it down wrong. The surrounding areas pizza places have all closed.

No attempt was made to rectify the situation. They could have offered to correct the order. They could have offered to refund me the money I had overpaid due to their mistake. They could have even offered me a complimentary cup of water on my next order.

Had they made any effort, I would rate them 5 stars.

Instead they did nothing.
