Brazilian Hair Design — Attraction in Pawtucket

I was looking for something open on Monday, I found this place. I went with my mom, she wanted her hair cut. I got a color and blow dry. The young lady who did my hair didn’t know how to do a roller set. As she was blow drying my hair, she got the brush tangled in my hair upwards of 4 times. When she flat ironed my hair, the roots were not dry or straight. I thank them for being open on a Monday but I can say that was my first and last time going there. Here it is Thursday and my hair as well as my mom’s hair doesn’t look like we got it done and for the money I paid it should last longer than 3 days. Now I gotta pay someone else to do our hair. Needless to say I’m not happy.

So after my initial review I received a phone call from the owner, Miss Joyce, what a nice lady. She did offer for me to go back and try a different stylist, which was a good thing. Everyone has certain things about themselves that they are picky about, me it’s my hair. I was able to go back today and I can honestly say that my hair came out excellent that I booked another appointment for Saturday.... so needless to say they’ve gained another client in me. I appreciate that Miss Joyce took the time to talk to me and she is definitely one of the nicest persons ever. Patricia is also awesome! Jasmine was great as well. Very nice people. I’ve only been once but I was pleased. I can’t give a company 5 stars after one visit and one service. Especially since they offer so much more than what I got (hair cut, blow out). I will go back and am eager to try other services.

Pros: easy to make appt. their IG page has lots of before/after pic so it was easy to see they aren’t afraid of curly hair. Hair wash, deep conditioning (much needed) and hair cut and blow out all went well. I’ve had hair cuts I loved and those I didn’t. But it’s hair and grows back so I’m never to upset on cuts. (I’m definitely a little more particular in color as it’s permanent and costs more). This cut I like a lot! My hair is heavy so a thinning of the inside layers would've be a bonus ;). However, my hair is soft, scalp feels great and the cut (layers) has dimensions to it. All good things. You get a text reminder which is great! They speak multiple languages but there’s no language barrier, which is great as they are truly fluent in multiple languages which is a bonus. There was NO lengthy wait. Even a minimum wait is ok but some salons book an appt and operate as a walk in. They valued your time. Thanks!

Cons: prices on website have an * so they could vary. It would be nice if it was explained what makes them vary, hair length, type, stylists level etc. and what the range is. It however isn’t a deal breaker. One sink is missing the neck rest (hopefully it’ll be replaced soon). There’s a convenience fee for using a debit card. I would’ve brought...

I went there due to the good reviews. The front desk and the atmosphere was great however the hairdresser I got was not the best I ask for a specific cut which I knew my hair can pull it off and the hairdresser did not deliver what I asked for I even wanted to color my hair but she did not show any interest in coloring my hair. I wanted a short hair cut I know most of the time you don’t get what it’s in the picture that you show them but she was not even close to that. My hair on the side was still long when I want it short it was like she didn’t want to do what I wanted but what she wanted. I understand as a hair dresser you give advice but it’s up to me as client if ask for something for you to deliver. I will give them another try but I will definitely not go to same hairdresser. I could’ve done what she did to my hair myself. My hair was damaged because I colored it myself but after a cut she would’ve deal with the hair that had grown in after the color so it couldn’t be that damaged for her to not deliver what...
