Looking into my jewelry box I had found a few pieces I’d like to sell. My husband took me to New England Gold and Silver Jewelers. Upon entering this fine establishment I was blinded by the diamonds in the glass cases surrounding the store. This is the moment when people get stressed and feel overwhelmed that “I’m going to break the bank here. This was not the case. There were so many lovely rings, bracelets and necklaces I was astounded at the clarity and color of the stones. If you think it ends there, you’re wrong. I also had the pleasure of meeting a fine man who really knows his diamonds. Brian Hill. He was so pleasant and not in a sales pitch way, this man was REAL and approachable. His only interest was in pleasing his customer. I could feel it. He was easy to talk to and gave me a great price for my items. It doesn’t stop there. As Brian gave me the cash offer in hand (a better offer than I ever received) I was looking at a gorgeous 2.5 ct Eternity Band I had always wanted. There it was, sparkling in my face. Stunning ! I asked if I could try it on and by the time I was finished asking he already had it out for me to put on my finger. He doesn’t pressure anyone, he doesn’t put on a salesman’s hat, he is an honest and trustworthy man with a fine personality. Quite frankly an upper class man. He just let me fall in love with this eternity band as I did. I never saw a diamond so clear and gorgeous as Brian’s rings. He only sells the best because he wants people to come back again in the future and tell others what a beautiful jewelry store he owns and remember him for his honesty and integrity. My husband and I definitely did. We felt that he was not there to sell so much as to inform you of what your looking at. This experience humbled us. I could not leave without that eternity ring. I would never get a great price or honesty as much as I received from Brian. My husband was very impressed with Brian Hill and New England Gold and Silver. We bought it alright !! It felt like the right price, the right man and the right decision. My husband said we will never go anywhere else because of the wonderful treatment we received with Brian. It’s not like any other jewelry store we ever experienced. It was pleasant and fun. Brian had a few funny jokes and stories he told us about Upper New York. Very interesting. My husband and I slowed danced in the store. We felt so comfortable there. Brian is a very likable and friendly man. This proves his intentions with selling you fine jewelry. He knows his gems 💎 and the jewelry actually sells itself, it is the best of the best ! We left there feeling as though we had made a good friend with Brian Hill. We are going to return for more very soon. Thank you Brian. You are a classy and honest man. Thank you for a wonderful day for us....

I came in just to have some rings resized, and I was blown away at the selection and customer service in this store. While I was waiting to meet with Brian (the owner) to take a look at my rings, Laurel (the sales associate) showed me some of the other things in the cases. Not only are the diamonds and other gems brilliant, but there are so many!
Brian came out to talk to me about resizing and the different options I had if ever wanted to replace one of the stones, and it was clear that he is an expert in his craft...a real jeweler... He explained to me about the “four c’s” of diamonds and what makes one diamond different than another. He understood that I was just there to have my rings re-sized, and never pushed me to make a purchase, but just educated me because I had asked. He's amazing.
Laurel sized my fingers for my rings and they came out perfectly...and not to mention, SPARKLING, because I assume they also had them cleaned? They looked amazing when I picked them up. I am so excited to finally be able to wear my grandmother's ring on Christmas to show my parents!
The customer service was second to none, and the merchandise is of the highest quality. Even an untrained eye like my own can notice a marked difference between the stuff in his store and the stuff elsewhere. I will be back as soon as I am ready to make a purchase because they're truly a "gem" (pardon the pun...). HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY...
Read moreSeveral years ago I had some coins and jewelry that I wanted to learn more about and possibly sell. I had tried a larger R.I. company but the process was confusing. A family friend recommended New England Gold & Silver and I’ll never go anywhere else.
First, the coins. Brian took the time to look at what I had and determine if their value was higher as a coin or gold. He knew I would be better served at a specialty coin shop and he was right. But he could have easily told me otherwise and bought my coins. I probably never would have known. I found that remarkable and appreciated his honesty.
I’ve been back a few times in the past 5 or so years with jewelry. I’ve gotten to know Laurel and Brian a little more each time. They make me feel like an old friend and easily recall past conversations. They take their time examining the pieces and often make me feel like I’m the only customer. They are friendly and they clearly enjoy their work. I always leave feeling like I’ve received great customer service and fair and generous prices for my jewelry.
I also feel like I learn a lot about my pieces and the market every time I’ve gone in there. It’s so nice to go somewhere that still offers true old fashioned customer service. (They will even come to your home if you need that level of service! ).
On top of this they have a beautiful selection of fine jewelry, watches and more. I’m temped every time. You can’t...
