I just gave a 30-day notice to Club Pilates that Iām canceling my membership after doing Pilates at Club Pilates three times a week for five months. Hope my review is helpful to those of you who are thinking about starting it.
It does not substitute your workout at gym. Number talk: I have been observing my muscle mass and fat percentage 2~3 times a week for years. There is NO muscle mass improvement nor fat percentage improvement during these five months. (fyi, I always keep healthy and well-balanced diet).
Itās a group activity that involves high-risk workout. They advertise it as if Club Pilates is for everyone and you can start with them anytime. However, you must remember that what they do here involves pilates bed, springs, bars, etc. It can cause any injuries any time, especially if you are new to Pilates and not sure what you are doing is right. Instructors come around and check you, and their instructions are truly helpful, but at the same time, they usually donāt want to slow down the overall pace for you, meaning... instructors do their best but it is easy for them to overlook/pass your mistakes and you can develop injuries over time without knowing).
Iāve developed a wrist pain here. and now need to see a doctor. I am 31 years old (my wrist problem was not caused by aging), working comfortably from home, and sharing chores with my family as usual (my wrist problem was not caused by other things). Never had a wrist problem in my entire life. I really really hope that there will be no one who experiences any similar things.
No improvement in posture I know some people expect this as I did, but it did not happen to me. You can try longer to see if there is any changes, but I think there are better ways with lower financial/physical costs and in shorter times.
Hope this review does not degrade instructorsā hard work and their willingness to help students. I just wanted to leave a review to let people know that Club Pilates is not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday (4/19/2023, Wednesday) a paying member of this studio was called by the owner Keeoma Page from her personal cellphone. She began the conversation awkwardly by asking if the paying customer could identify herself. After that Keeoma Page insisted on intimidating the paying customer for a review which the paying customer was confused why this was needed. Reviews are optional as we are all aware in the first world. The owner Keeoma Page then proceeded to intimidate the customer by stating this was her studio and she needed feedback provided and never provided a reason why. The customer was shocked for several reasons:
Why would a business owner call her at an unscheduledĀ time during the day while working?
Why would a business owner insist on harassing and intimidating a customer for a review?
Why would a business owner state this is her studio...we are well aware the member pays $199US Dollars per month?
Why would a business owner call from her personal phone and try to address a conversation that she heard through the grapevine?
Where is the respect for the members who pay their money?
Why does Keeoma Page lack business etiquette, customer retention and understanding?
Aside from that, she herself - Keeoma Page does not do well at instructing whatsoever. She's just an owner.
Thank you for your "services" Ms. Keeoma Page. However, we will gladly take our money elsewhere.Ā I highly advise you, Keeoma to go to school and get some sort of management and business degree....hopefully even an MBA LOL!!
PS: Under the Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA) this protects people's ability to share their honest opinions about a businesses products, services, or conduct in any forum, including social media.
Yes, this is her sister...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a disappointing experience with this business. Despite paying for 8 classes, I was only able to use 5 due to their unfair policies and unscrupulous practices. While I understand that I cancelled my membership before the month ended, I was not aware that my credits would be taken away before the end of that month. I believe that it is unfair for the company to take away my unused credits without informing me or providing me with an opportunity to use them. I have attempted to retrieve my lost credits, but have not received any assistance as a customer Iām entitled to the full benefit of the services I have paid for, including any unused credits during the month in which they were taken away. The general manager's decision to implement such policies reflects poorly on the business as a whole. Teacher and staff were great, but their efforts were hindered by the business' poor practices. I would caution others against doing business with them and recommend finding a different place that values their customers and provides quality service.
Make sure to read all the bad reviews, I should have done it before doing...
