I visited Jos. A. Bank about a year ago to help my partner get fitted for a groomsmen tux, and the service we received was excellent. That positive experience left a strong impression and brought us back again today with high expectations.
Unfortunately, this visit was quite the opposite. While things began smoothly and the associate, Micheal, was initially helpful in selecting a few items, the experience quickly declined. We chose a white button-up shirt and khaki dress pants for my partner to try on. After seeing them on, we felt the shirt didn’t look quite right and asked to try a version without collar buttons. Without even checking inventory, Micheal immediately stated they didn’t have the size. It came across as a dismissive assumption rather than a verified response.
Later, we decided to try a different pant color—basic black—but again encountered resistance. Micheal claimed the black pants had the exact same fit as the khakis and refused to let my partner try them on. Instead, he held up the black pants next to the white shirt and said, “You can see it visually.” We explained that even if the fit was the same, seeing the outfit on would give a better sense of how the color combination looked. Still, he remained uncooperative. For context, my partner had only tried on one full outfit—the white button-up and khakis—so asking to try a second option didn’t seem unreasonable.
His dismissive and unaccommodating attitude gave the impression that he didn’t want to assist us further, possibly assuming we weren’t going to make a purchase. As a result, we left and ended up buying a great outfit at Dillard’s instead.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and helps promote more consistent, customer-focused service...
Read moreThank you Chris for everything!!
I came into the store with my partner, having forgotten his suit for our friends wedding down to the very last minute. We were in the store this past Thursday for a wedding next Saturday. Very last minute. We didn’t know his size, what colors we wanted, anything. I just realized after I left my dress at the tailors, we didn’t have anything for him. I didn’t even have a picture of my dress with me. I just had a sample of a very very similar dress.
However, Chris saved the day!! He gave us the best selection off the (by request) clearance rack. We were able to find out we loved a dark blue gray against his complexion. Chris styled it with a rich navy blue shirt that would accent my dress perfectly and a black tie to pull it all together. He looked so sharp in that suit. I honestly loved the jacket so much, I hope he wears it with jeans so it can use it more often.
Not only did he happen to find a perfect fit with a narrow selection, he knew exactly what needed to be tailored so the whole suit would be ready in time for the event! He made the whole thing happen within a such a short window!! He got the suit to be done at the same day as my dress. That extra step of getting all of these little details done, made the impossible happen.
Thank you so so much! My partner and I are looking forward to this event with so much more joy in our hearts. I cannot wait to pick up the suit and dance the night away at...
Read moreExtremely poor costumer service, unable to be engaged or to listen to my questions. Unable to show me me any samples of the suit I was buying for my friends wedding. Tried to charge me $300 dollars more than what our package was. The guy John, 26 year old kid, kept making excuses for every time he couldn't answer a question or do something. He had me try a pair of pants on and when I got out of the dressing room I had to walk around the store to find him sitting down on his phone. The online stock didn't have any of my sizes 32/32, 31/32 or 32/34. I will never shop at jos a bank again and I will be actively telling my friends and family to use any other company. I have several engaged friends who I will highly discourage from shopping at jos a bank.
