📣 Listen 🆙: My Masi (Maserati) had a bubble in her paint (on back passenger door). The paint color is one that I was AFRAID that only the Maserati dealer could match. My Maserati has not and I will repeat has not had to have any body work, thus I was so afraid to leave her with ANY body shop other than the Maserati dealership.. Nervously, we took her to Pride (Cresent St). Our first encounter was with Doug, and when I tell you the way he explained and assured me/us how Pride Bodywerks would have Masi looking good as new, and how she was in good hands, you’d think he was the owner of the establishment, my nervousness eased up. You see we were referred by another establishment, never heard about Pride and Doug had a way about his delivery that made us feel at ease leaving my truck there. The place was clean, staff professional, and I did see a few high end cars there for service too. To make this long story short, I/We were VERY pleased after picking Masi up! I couldn’t tell any work was done, plus this body shop had my girl looking shiny on the outside and clean on the inside! We were VERY pleased! Praying Masi doesn’t need any future body work repairs, but if ever she did, I’d take her back to Pride in a New York minute (laugh)! Thanking Doug, and the receptionist for putting me at ease during my first visit🙂 After picking MasiGirl up, I was...
Read more🚨⚠️I came to this shop for a quote on a minor quarter panel repair nothing severe. This was actually the 4th shop I visited, as I was comparing prices. The front desk receptionist asked if I was going through insurance. I said no, I’d be paying out of pocket. She told me to wait about 20 minutes for a technician.
Forty minutes later, after hearing loud conversations and laughter in the back very unprofessional especially when they have someone waiting outside, someone finally came to look at my car. The technician immediately said they wouldn’t work on it unless they replaced the entire quarter panel with a brand new one which . His reasoning was that if I got into an accident in the future, they could be held liable.
It quickly became clear he was trying to push me toward going through insurance which often means higher bills and bigger payouts for the shop. I’ve been around enough body shops to know this is a common tactic. Instead of providing a fair, straightforward repair option, they wasted my time and tried to steer me into an expensive, unnecessary route.
If you’re paying out of pocket and looking for an honest, efficient shop, I wouldn’t recommend this...
