I took my children last week to Bruce beach. I was very excited after the write up in the newspaper and all. When I got there I was shocked! Glass everywhere, trash everywhere. I felt extremely unsafe!!! I made my kids keep their shoes on the whole time, because I was scared they might step on a needle or something. So much broken glass!!! It really was that nasty. We left after 10 minutes! I am very, very sad. This was a community effort and to see how it's been treated is very disheartening! I suggest to anyone who has children, please do not bring them here. It might be good to launch a kayak or fish (with other people-do not go to this are alone please!)

Probably not ideal for kids. It’s a little rugged and over grown. Picnic area is over grown. Beach was small but secluded seeming. Free parking and garbage cans on site and a few picnic benches. Nice view. They may be neglecting taking care of this beach since the city is going to rebuild the entire thing.

Awesome place, Everyone did a great job on getting this up and running…$6+ million dollars tho. With everything going on all around us, maybe it could have gone some better use. But keep your eyes peeled, a kayak launch is just around the corner.

Beautiful place, great for relaxing with family or friends. Lots of rich Pensacola history presented throughout the beach. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH AND CIGARETTE BUTTS with you, this place is beautiful, let's keep it that way.

I give only 3 stars because of the trash and un kept place. On the the other hand it is peaceful. May want to advise children to watch out for glass when barefoot.

This place is amazing, the history itself makes it worth visiting. However it hasn't been kept up as it should and there is a danger of alligators.
