I took my children last week to Bruce beach. I was very excited after the write up in the newspaper and all. When I got there I was shocked! Glass everywhere, trash everywhere. I felt extremely unsafe!!! I made my kids keep their shoes on the whole time, because I was scared they might step on a needle or something. So much broken glass!!! It really was that nasty. We left after 10 minutes! I am very, very sad. This was a community effort and to see how it's been treated is very disheartening! I suggest to anyone who has children, please do not bring them here. Read moreWe were new to the area not long ago and have frequented this beach in the last 6 months. We mainly come out for the fishing but I have some information to pass along. First off, there is an elderly man who tans on this beach almost naked... not ideal for kids at all! Quite frequently there will be transients at the picnic area which can be a little unsettling if there aren’t many people..
