Nice place on the waterside that used to be a public hall, but is now an open public park. Free parking and a few signs with descriptions. Funniest thing is that the open fountain area with water jets had a maximum occupancy sign. For an area largely without borders (open paths without doors and a border that was maybe 24 inches high), we wonder how one would count to determine if maximum occupancy were reached, and whether a few people would have to take one step away from the center to reduce the number. Read moreThis place is actually right at the Port of Pensacola they have their memorial and it's been there for many many years even dating back to the old selling ships here it is the city of five flags so we're going back in time but in the present day they fixed it up pretty well when you get a good look at the Bay and a couple of the ships that come into port there's place to walk around place to visit the memorial restaurant and a little ice cream stand plenty of park benches there's toilets in the area and parking is a little bit difficult but normally it's a pretty good place to stop and take a break if...

I wish they had gates to keep the kids from running out into the parking area but the other parents were very friendly and we all helped to keep an eye on the children. This was my first time there but I have a feeling that this will become a usual thing for my family. The area was great. There is a restaurant in one side and an ice cream shop on the other. I don't like driving through downtown Pensacola but it was worth for my children to be able to run around and go crazy with other kids. I'm sure that we will make many memories at...
