2021 Update: 1 more year down. I am about to celebrate my 13th continuous year as a member of EoS Fitness, Peoria AZ. I can't believe how the time has passed.
Again, the staff is amazing. We, like many other businesses, have had a turnover in staff since last year. Again, we are fortunate have a great staff. You will be greeted upon arrival with big smiles and welcomes.
The front desk staff, led by Danell is always happy to see us arrive. Our Operations Manager, Jasie is just a delight to talk to. I always feel that they are happy to see us. The other team members are also friendly, caring and knowledgeable.
The facility is amazingly clean thanks to Tim, our maintenance manger and the members who pick up after themselves and wipe down the equipment when they are finished with it.
Again, I highly recommend EoS.
Update: 2 Years later - We survived the shutdowns due to the virus that is covering the country. The staff has done a remarkable job of making sure we are safe while we workout. A staff cleans/sanitizes all of the equipment throughout the day and members clean the equipment before and after use. The gym is sanitized every night. We maintain the 6 foot social distancing rule and no one is admitted without a face mask. We have added a lot of new staff members since that long shutdown. I have found that all of them are pleasant, professional and very knowledgeable.

I joined this gym 10 years ago when it was Gold's Gym. I attend a minimum of 4 mornings a week. That said, I have seen the gym go through many changes.
I am so pleased with the work our new GM, Joey, is doing. He has made an amazing difference in the gym. The new management from EOS Fitness really seems to care about their gyms. If they didn't, Joey would not be able to do the great job he is doing.
I attend classes every morning and use the cardio equipment as a supplement.
A special thanks to our new maintenance manager. Tim is amazing. He really cares about our gym and it shows. Thanks Tim. Of course, thanks to the front desk staff, headed by Renee - you guys are the best.
I have found the the people who have the most problems with this gym have brought them on themselves. Every public facility is going to be unacceptable to SOME people. Can't be helped when you are dealing with so many personalities. -- 2018
2025 - I do not have children for daycare but I enjoy watching the young people come and go with their parents. The children are always so happy when they arrive and when they leave. I have had the opportunity to watch Baily with these children and they all seem to love her. I have seen how clean and neat she keeps the daycare facility and it always appears that the daycare staff are very fond of her. EOS is fortunate to have Baily Bond on their staff.
Front Desk 2025. In my 16th year as a member of EOS Thunderbird, I have been through a lot of managers and others. This year we have Camryn. Camryn is the Assistant Operations Manager. She is probably one of the nicest and most professional managers we have had. She always greets every one who enters with a cheerful, big smile. She is always able to answer questions and provide necessary assistance.
The other person I need to mention is Tim. Tim has been keeping EOS equipment clean and running for about 6 years. He always listens when I spot an issue and either fixes it right away or arranges for the appropriate person to take care of it but he never ignores the problem....

I signed up for a gym membership and signed up for a personal trainer in February of 2024 and the first personal trainer reached out to me via phone call I told him my schedule always changes where I work I’m off every Sunday for sure cause my job is closed on Sundays but my 2nd day off changes every week so I asked to please do the training on Sundays he told me he doesn’t work on weekends so he gave my info to another trainer who reached out to me via text and I told him the same thing and I made an appt with him to go in for the personal training on a Sunday but that Saturday before he reached out to me via text again and asked to reschedule cause he has to go in to his 2nd job that Sunday I told him Sundays are the best day for me and he then told me his 2nd job does create conflict with me making an appt with him on Sundays so he informed me he’ll give my information to another trainer and that was back in February it is now may and no other trainer has reached out. They have been taking my money from me since February for the personal trainer when I called to try to cancel my contract they refused saying I signed the contract. Correct I did sign the contract but apparently no trainers want to even try to accommodate me with my work schedule and right now you guys are basically robbing me of my money. So if I was you I wouldn’t even bother with this specific gym and I wouldn’t even bother trying to get a personal trainer cause they won’t even care enough to accommodate you with your work schedule.
Update: the district fitness manager, Prath told the fitness manager, Ryan to cancel my account immediately since I’ve been trying to get it canceled for the longest time he told Ryan if I have any questions to email the district fitness manager with any questions or concerns I may have. I did email the district fitness manager asking him when I can get the $440 refunded to my debit card since I was unable to use any fitness training sessions since they didn’t want to accommodate me with my work schedule I never received a response email from Prath. Derek, the guy who replied to this 1 star review I left on here before this update he of course gave me his email to try to make whatever I needed right when I emailed Derek and told him what’s going on all he said was that’ll be the district fitness manager prath’s job to refund anything to do with the personal training when I responded to Derek via email again I told him I did try to reach out to Prath about my refund I need to get back of $440 but prath has not responded to my email yet of both times and idk how else I am supposed to get ahold of him to get my refund. Worst customer service ever and they don’t care about their customers at all. If they can take advantage of you and your money they 100% will. And yes I got all the bank statements, 2 different recordings I did while talking to them on the phone and the text messages with me and 1 of their trainers plus the voicemail of Ryan saying they’re gonna cancel my account immediately all on my phone for proof...
Read moreEos on 83rd and Thunderbird. This facility is very nice and I enjoy working out here. The gym bathroom and gym floor are clean, all of the equipment works, and a lot of it looks brand new which is also nice! I dont typically like leaving negativity on a business that I enjoy going to and maybe I just hit a streak of bad luck, but this is what I have experienced so far. I signed up for my membership about a month ago. With my membership, I'm suppossed to recieve a "welcome work out session". While signing up for my membership, we also scheduled for that session to be a week later. A week later, I show up for my training session and I'm told my trainer Trevor was in a meeting and they weren't sure how much longer he would be. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so I waited for a bit. I ended up waiting almost 45 minutes before staff came over and told me they didn't know when his meeting was going to be over. We ended up rescheduling the session for the next week and the staff were pretty apologetic and assured me that Trevor would call me and confirm the session the day before (I never ended up receiving a phone call). The next week rolls around and I arrive the morning of my training, I go to the front desk and let them know I was there for a training session with Trevor. They let me know that he was sick and was not going to be in that day. I was a bit upset so I told them I don't want to reschedule a second time, the staff was apologetic still, but it was a quick apology with no explanation and to why I wasn't notified. (granted they were helping another customer so I figured they were occupied). I stayed and still did a workout. As I left, I was half expecting one of the assistant managers to come up and talked to me but I glanced over quick to see several of the staff memebers just sitting at desks. I totally understand that people get sick, but I was more disappointed that I didn't receive a phone call to let me know that Trevor would be unavailable again. I'm also mostly just disappointed that I haven't received any sort of apology or been reached out to by Trevor himself (and maybe im writing this too soon because he's sick and I wont expect him to call me right away). I will say that the front desk employee Michael was very kind and genuine and seemed like he cared about my frustrations, and thats why I'm giving this 3-stars. My intent with this review is to not be nasty or drag down a local business, I just want to recieve the same transparency and truth as I am giving in this review. I am willing to change my rating and give an update should this issue be resolved. Thank you...
