Good place. Went to watch "Sound Of Freedom", an interesting story of a man who's hand I shook last year, and the experience of this showing was much better than what one has heard about for this particular showing at AMC or Regal. Thankfully, Harkins is a smaller movie theater built up by the continued endurance of the Wallace And Ladmo TV broadcast which is specifically Phoenix that went on for 30 years and I never saw as an early California transplant as a child, though I ended up having as professor the cameraman for that show who taught us all about the old cultural phenomenon that made Phoenix Phoenix. ... I made sure to ask the staff that no one was going to turn off the AC to the theater like AMC or Regal, I went in and out before and once during the movie to ensure that nothing weird was going to happen for the other moviegoers since I know the plot of the movie even if it was my first time watching it. And, I also stared into the security cameras to spook the person on the other side while telling the popcorn staff what I was doing and why: around the world, it's fun to play games with the people on the other side. As for the NSA who are reading this, too, thank you for your service. A great movie and I love how someone shouted "Amen" after the movie ended when the special message ended with "God's children are not for sale". Maybe if we get better movies than whatever Hollywood keeps putting out, as if the writers strike is a bad thing, I'd be willing to come here more like I envisioned doing when I was a child. Even if the movie is a higher parental guidance rating, it may be a good children's movie to help children, should they end up in a bad situation, think "I hope that Tim will rescue me" and keep them hoping such that they pay attention to the Comforter, the Holy Spirit,...
Read moreGreat experience !! Very excited the theaters are now open . Harkins my favorite . BEST popcorn. All were wearing masks. Plexiglass at concession counter and inside ticket taker person. No longer refilling popcorn bags or the cups , but bring your refillable cup and they will give you the medium size drink that fits perfectly inside your refillable for same price of $2.00. we used our popcorn credits and upgraded to the large for $1.00. no longer have the butter dispensers or the flavored popcorn salts at the condiment counter . But you can purchase your favorite seasoning for $2.00 . Just like California has been doing for several years (😟). Seats blocked off every 2 and every other row. No early shows, earliest was 2:45. I was just excited to be back in the theater!! Bathrooms very clean also , didn't want to use but it's a long ride home ! As of 5/7/22: update- now they are filling the actual refillable cups for $2., No longer offering popcorn credits or refill popcorn bags. Must purchase the popcorn perks package for $30, get a free medium (?) Popcorn. Masks not required but encouraged . A few of the Harkins staff were wearing masks. Pick your own seats , very comfortable, recline. Matinee tickets available and student/senior discount. I believe the BEST popcorn ! Ask for butter to get layered in between and get a tray to pour popcorn into it if you're sharing , especially with kids. Visited Park west Theater , seats comfortable but don't recline . LOVE the popcorn . And I recd $5 towards concession because of bday rewards...

I've always had a good experience at harkins, but tonight while seeing a children's movie with my family, I was nursing my infant who started to cry during the movie. I took her over to the side to calm get down while still being able to watch the movie. I started to nurse her and an employee asked me to cover since there were children there. By this time, the movie had started, everyone was watching the movie, and the theatre was dark. I may be wrong, but I believe all of the children in the theatre were watching the movie, not me, standing in the dark corner of the theatre, nursing my baby. My baby was almost asleep at this point. She also asked me to go back to my seat to get a blanket, in which case i would have had to climb over people twice, to cover, to make sure none of the children in the theatre were watching me...in the dark corner of the theatre. I just thought it was silly. I always try to be discrete while breast feeding, even without a cover, and I thought I was standing in an area where I wouldn't be out...
