See's Candies — Attraction in Peoria

The 2 ladies working today were extremely rude. I have never been into a Sees Candy, but I am helping my friend plan her wedding. I was going to suggest the candy at Sees because they have a wedding line. Nobody was in the store except myself and 3 of my friends. We asked how the pricing worked and she gave an attitude when explaining it was based off weight. Then, I asked if there was any samples and she said she was busy helping someone else. Nobody else was in there. After a few more minutes, I went up to ask questions about the wedding line. At the same time a family came and she started waiting on them. I said I had a quick question and she said she needed to wait on them. Needless to say we left and I will be going elsewhere for the goodies at the wedding. I think cookies might be a better idea- Sweeteeez and Crumbl have amazing treats and great customer service. I never even had a chance to tell them or talk to them about the wedding because they didn’t give us a chance to ask. Very poor...

I Love See's Candies. Have loved them since I was a child, and my Mother sold See's as extra income. However, the prices have gotten too high. Literally, three small suckers cost $11.50. That is beyond ridiculous. Now, for the most part, families can only afford to buy even a 1 lb. Box on special occasions. See's has very good selections and tastes, but they really do need to reevaluate what they are charging customers. They have stiff competition for other stores who have delicious chocolates as well and that don't charge what See's doe's. I do believe prices in general for all chocolate selling has been way over inflated, so I do understand they are trying to stay relevant but raking your customers over the coal when all of us are suffering from over inflated prices is not the way to go about it. I have been shopping with these candies since I was a child, and I have never encountered such a rude customer service, and all the years I’ve been purchasing from there. There was a young lady African-American maybe mixed culture extremely rude. I wouldn’t suggest going to this location which sucks because it is the closest location to my home. She asked me if I would like to taste a piece of dark chocolate, and I am not a dark chocolate person. I feel like it is extremely too sweet for me and bitter. I simply said no thank you and that I felt that it was too sweet and she told me she feels like it’s the other way around with a snappy attitude made me feel totally uncomfortable. I wanted to turn around and walk out of the store and put my boxes back on the counter. I spent $40 today and I am not happy about it. But I was craving it. Go...
