AR Workshop Chestnut Hill — Attraction in Philadelphia

The staff at AR Workshop Chestnut Hill was absolutely PHENOMENAL! I took a group of young-adults who are alumni of the school where I work (all have learning differences, and many are on the Autism Spectrum, although high-functioning) and the staff were all so patient and understanding. They were willing and able to make "on-the-spot" adjustments to meet my group's needs and were truly able to just "roll with things." The staff truly went out of their way to make my group members feel welcome and comfortable. The shop was extremely well organized and the materials were neatly prepared; in fact the entire experience went smoothly, despite the fact that we were all beginners. Everyone was highly satisfied with their projects, but furthermore, I was highly impressed by the staff's personabiliy and down-to-earth nature. Although I had a great time with the people I went with, the business itself left a lot to be desired. If you even know what a cricut is save your money because you can DIY at home for 1/4 of the price. For the price of $70 I would have expected wood used as a tray to be flat not bowed, be a little more observant before you assemble and present it to your guest. As for staff, the woman I am assuming was the owner was pushy and unapologetic to our group and accused us of bringing in ants. My 10-year-old daughter had her birthday party at AR Workshop in Chestnut Hill on 11/18/23, and it was an amazing party. We felt like family while we were there. The staff was friendly, accommodating, kid-centered, and super skilled/knowledgeable. We had a 2 1/2 hour party with 13 kids (ages 9 to 12), and they loved the project, the background music, comforting space, and wonderful teachers. We were able to bring dinner and cake in, and they even helped us work it around the project.
