There is so much to love about the Chestnut Hill Farmers' Market and their carefully curated selection of outstanding farmers and vendors nestled into a warm and friendly community experience. I learn so much every time I go. There is nothing like being able to talk directly with farmers and vendors about what they sell.
For example, Byrsa Olive Oil has turned me into a much better educated consumer of olive oil. Ali clearly adores talking with market customers about lots of things, but especially his olive oil. As the owner and operator of his Tunisian olive grove, he has a tremendous passion for, and pride in, his product. Deservedly so. Before I had Byrsa olive oil, I'd purchase any old olive oil I found on a store shelf. No more. Not only is Byrsa olive oil way higher quality with an exceptional nutritional profile, but the aroma and the taste are dreamy. Thanks to Ali, I won't go back to my old olive oil ways.
Like Ali, the farmers and vendors put so much love into what they sell and it makes a difference.

It's only a short block long but lots of veggies, meats, and other goodies you'd expect to find at a farmers market.
I had a hard time finding gluten free food unfortunately. I'm not surprised based on the limited amount of vendors but I am surprised because it's a farmers market - usually there's more dairy free/gluten free/allergy free/vegan friendly food.
Discovered Randalia Bee Hives. My 4 star rating is for the farmers market but he gets a 5 star, bought a few things. Very...

Super-duper, unbelievable, mushrooms!! 🍄! Only about 8-10 vendors altogether, and crowded, but there's some luscious stuff available. Really exceeded my expectations, given its small size. Open year-round, but keep in mind that means produce is very seasonal. No tomatoes on January, no rutabagas in July, that kind of thing. And not every vendor is...
