Julissa Dominican Hair Salon — Attraction in Philadelphia

Up until going to Julissas, I had never stepped foot in a hair salon cause I have always done my hair myself. Especially being someone with natural curly hair, you know how risky it can be to entrust your hair to someone else😭 But I decided to treat myself and take a leap of faith and I am sooo so glad I did!! A texturized was used in my hair and the shampoo women LIED to my face about using it. I came with MIELLE products. Shampoo and conditioner. I said “Just use this.” She said “Ok” . She put a substance in my hair and rinsed it out right away that did not smell like my products. I asked again “ Did you use anything else?” She said “ Nooo, only , only!!” , pointing to my products.During the blow dry it didn’t smell like a chemical was used so I didn’t confront anyone further just hoping I was over reacting. Fast forward to today. I wash my hair and it’s hard, unmanageable, and breaking while I wash it using the same products I LOVE , that make my hair SOFT!!!! This was my 2nd time to Julissa's since finding out about this salon about 2 weeks ago. I am thoroughly impressed with my experience at this salon. Today's visit was even better than my first one. I have been trying to find a Dominican salon in Philly that would do my hair the way I use to get in done in North Jersey/NY. Some Dominican salons in Philly came close, but all required additional heat (Blow Dryer/Flat Iron) after Roller Setting. Today I was able to get my hair Roller Set, and then Wrapped (Doobie), with no additional heat. I have finally found my Go-To Dominican Salon.
