As I drive 2 hours one way to go to this store you can bet its worth it. The deli is always fresh, there is a huge assortment of pickled/marinated and prepared food (always fresh and tasty) and all kinds of smoked fish to choose from. I have also noticed that they have very good sales on even fresh fruit and vegetables and American items such as juicy juice and ragu pasta sauce. (Of course provided that you have a net cost club member card which is free to fill out). The only downside to coming here is I always need to find someone else to come along with me because you can not take your shopping cart directly to your car from the store. They have metal bars blocking the sidewalk, I guess its convenient for them not to have carts all over their parking lot. But when I stock up with $300 worth of goodies im not about to leave my cart unattended to get my car. Thats my main problem with the store and I wish they would change that somehow. Also If you do not speak Russian you could easily feel intimidated and uncomfortable in this store especially at the deli. All the workers speak Russian and assume that you do too. I don't know what the criteria for workers is when it comes to be able to speak English but many I have seen do not speak English or speak it very poorly. Bottom line: definitely worth the drive, the money and if you do not speak Russian and feel out of place....once you taste the deli meats the smoked fish or even the amazing carrot salad you won't care how out of place you are and will return...

Omg. This place is amazing. They carry everything. All these years and I had no idea such an incredible market existed. It's a high end European market. While true there r labels u cannot read not speaking the language, u can figure out what you're looking at if u have enjoyed shopping as I have. Everything is there, italian delicacies, everything needed to make the best hoagie imaginable, salmon from everywhere... from Finland to Nova Scotia and places in between. Every fish u can think of, kipered, smoked, regular. Every cut of meat, gorgeous lamb, Turkey, chicken, both skinned or not. And don't even start me on their desserts. 2 aisles of the most delectable cakes I've ever seen in 1 location. There's also a complete deli counter and vegetables, some of which I've never heard of. When I left here I immediately called my son to ask him if he had ever visited this store knowing his closest buddy lives across the street. When he told me no, the only words I had were go, go!!!! Place is crowded. No surprise there. Aisles r tiny. I would avoid weekends for those reasons. But folks all I can say about Netcost is go, go!!! Also, they should have chosen a...

This supermarket is an interesting niche and definitely worth the trip. It's a Russian market, by my interpretation of the labels. If you are Russian, you will probably know what everything is. I am writing this review as a comparison for Americans who may want to shop here.

This market has a great selection of certain items, particularly produce, herbs, vegetables, fruits, dairy products than the average American market. They have a tremendous amount of teas and exotic sweets. The honey selection is amazing!! The dairy section has all kinds of variety we don't normally see, farners cheeses, kefir, yogurts which look more natural and hethy tjan regular supermarkets. I never so many types of candy, chocolates, and sweets.

While this Market would not be the type of Market I would recommend for the typical American to buy typical American food, it is definitely worth the trip for anybody interested in selection variety of unique Foods and trying some new healthy options.

I only took away one star because the market is so crowded and sometimes the lines can get long. They are popular and need a bigger store. Parking...

When I am in the area I try to visit this store. You can get cool products you will not find in other places, and you will certainly not find them where I live. There are lots of Eastern European (especially Russian/Ukrainian but also Polish, German etc) candies, ready to eat food, dairy products, etc. I got a ready to eat salad which was good, as well as piroshki which were really good. I got a whole bunch of syroki (small chocolate covered cream cheese bars) which were all good. I would definitely check dates because several of the cookies/candies I wanted to get had passed their date. (If only one date is on the package it might be the production date, but often the "good until" date is on there as well, so I would just check the dates on the packaged food to not get stale things.) This store is not centrally located for Philly and about a 40 min drive from where I stay but I still make the drive to pick up some hard to find and nostalgic items. I did not see a bathroom in the store so I assume that is still an issue; anticipating that I used the Home Depot bathroom before going into NetCost.

Soo many unique food items. I got lost in here. The whole grains are awesome. Got the bulgurs, wheat brans, ancient grains like farro, and you can find a package of pretty much any way that oats are cut. The canned fish is awesome. They are stacked with choices of cod liver to sturgeon mixed with buckwheat. Pickeld products were good. I got some spicy pickles cucumbers and probably one of the best pickles I've had. Nice crunchy outside and soft inside but not mushy. First time I saw olives cured in oil as well. I tried them and think ones with normal brines are better. These were just way too salty. They also carry great dairy products. Loaded with all different flavors and varieties of kefir, yogurts, and milks. First time I heard of baked milk. They also have raw milk! The meat selection is also extensive. Lots of cuts that would be hard to find at standard grocery stores. Overall a top choice for me. Would definitely come again. Healthy choices all over and tons of variety.
