This is my local shopping center. In past year we've seen more stores setup shop here. There's the DDs discount clothing store which is a sister store to Marshalls, Chase Bank has a branch here along with a really convenient drive up ATM machine (only dispenses 20s, but the machines in lobby dispense in multiples of 5s which is really nice. Dollar tree, sneaker store, Wingstop, subway, popeyes, ShopRite, citizens bank, city trends, burger king, Wendy's and a few others I can't remember at the moment are there. there's also two dropoff stations and a pickup platform for the 36 trolley as well as two 37 bus stops going to broad and Snyder along lindbergh blvd and one 37 bus stop going towards Harrah's and chester transportation center on grass median in middle of lindbergh Blvd as well as a 108 stop at 78th street corners where one goes towards 69th street Transportation center and the other towards airport. Last but not least there are 68 bus stops across island one just past dollar general and auto store going towards broad and Pattinson ave as well as one across from rite aid on Lindbergh and island corner headed for 69th street Transportation center. also on that side across from penrose plaza there is rite aid, DaVita diagnostics, Dunkin donuts, McDonald's, dollar general and auto parts store ( I forget the name of it). it's a pretty big selection of various types of stores. Convenient for the Eastwick section of southwest Philadelphia. A good many people walk to this shopping center. oh I forgot to mention the road Mario lanza Blvd behind dollar tree leads to the R1 train which is the airport line. Stops at all the terminal going to and headed back to center City and runs all the way to Temple university station after stopping at Eastwick, university city, 30th street, suburban station, Jefferson station and finally temple then usually turns into the warminster line, but occasionally will turn into another line after Temple stop. Parking is free at that station. Many people also park Dow by dollar tree to get on 36 trolley to go downtown via southwest Philly into center City. Hope this helps give a decent description of the amenities at and around this...
Read moreLove this ShopRite. I do all my clients shopping here. I'm always in and out, and they always seem to have everything I need. Staff is great! The isles are never unstocked or have pallets of unstocked stuff in your way like other stores do. Very clean. People are very friendly, never crowded when I go which is usually Thursdays or Fridays at 10amm-12pm. There's always enough checkout lines open, plus self checkout too. Ohh and if you need a ride home from this place, be sure to ask for Paul out front. He's always around, super professional, helpful, great conversation on the way home. I look forward to my ride home each week. Get his number for future rides, because during the times he's not there, he's real quick to come back. He's worth waiting for. He's not creepy in the least, very trust worthy if you're skeptical of taking a ride from a stranger. I don't know what I'd do without him each week. I definitely enjoy coming to ShopRite a little more than a normal person, but then again, it gets me out of work, away from my angry client, and I usually have lunch in their dining place, grab some scratchies, then shop, so coming here is like a little get away for me. I enjoy this ShopRite and I'm glad it's here, and so close. Used to be one easy trolley ride, but since the 36 route is detoured, now there's a bus involved in the trip too, but I still don't mind it. The only pain right now is coming home if you have to take the 36. It's not far, but it's a pain in the rear to walk to the temporary 36 stop. You have to cross that big street, and it's kinda far if you have lots of bags, and then waiting for it is kinda scary, because there's no side walk I don't think. You're kinda just on a little grass hill and it's close to the very big and busy street right there, but that's what Paul is for. Thank God. Great place to do what's gotta be done. Make the best out of it like I do, and you'll have...
Read moreGreat and easy access to your favorite stores👍. Wait is minimal accept lunchtime at food restaurants. Raising Cane's chicken restaurant freshly opened. Right now it's the talk of the ghetto 🤣. Most stores have ⏩ checkout. Refer to Google maps for peak at ShopRite, though I highly recommend getting there just after 7am, and Wine and Spirits to avoid waiting. DD's and Trend have great values and Dollar Tree is a budget wise favorite. Superior parking available with four forms of public transportation to the shopping center (36 trolley, 37 and 108 buses). Route 68 bus 🚌 (runs hourly - weekdays only) is nearby but you'll have to walk to Penrose crossing Lindbergh Blvd. Enjoy your day ✌️😀!
TIP: it can be a bit tricky crossing the parking lot to grab a bite at Burger King, Raising Cane's, and Wendy's because the traffic doesn't stop. Keep your wits about you with undesirables roaming about. Watch as you visit Wine and Spirits for those wishing you to purchase for them. When banking, go INSIDE banks to use ATM or use the drive up teller. Keep your good 👁️ scanning your walk as you head to your favorite stores for walk-up surprises. You're welcome. Ask God to watch your back🙂. May the Holy Trinity...
