
The laser technician was very friendly and my service was fast, effective and on time. The customer service from the receptionist was not great. I purchased a Groupon for laser removal of a medium area (which on their list of services includes a Brazilian). When I went to use it the receptionist told me I purchased the wrong one and that I’d have to purchase a Groupon for a large area to get a medium area done. I explained that I purchased the medium based off of their website which says a Brazilian is a medium area. She insisted that I needed to go get my money back from Groupon and that was the only way to fix it. The company swears by transparency…..that’s a lie.
If they had some type of misunderstanding with Groupon I feel like the customer should not be inconvenienced. I asked for a call back from the manager. No one ever called and I was not able to get my money back so I was forced to spend more money. The receptionist was rude and did not care. I decided to try this place again. The second time I scheduled an appointment here I called on a Friday morning to reschedule my appointment on that was on a Monday evening (giving well over 48hours notice) according to their policy, and the lady on the phone told me it wasn’t 48hours because they are closed sundays so the Sunday doesn’t count and is not considered a working day. So I would have had to call Thursday to cancel or reschedule an appointment for Monday in order to not be charged. Makes no sense. Life happens to people. You should not be charged a 50% service fee to reschedule an appointment 3 days before….These people need help with customer service, they don’t seem to care very much about making things easy for their customers or making their customers happy….just...
Read moreThis was my last appointment, and I was not satisfied. I scheduled this appointment over six weeks ago and requested a specific technician. Upon arriving today, I was assigned to a trainee being supervised. The session was painful, and I believe trainees should practice on each other or clients should be informed ahead of time.
When I explained to the front desk that I had requested the same technician, I was initially assured she would be available. Today, however, I was told that we cannot choose our technician but can only mark a preference, which isn't guaranteed. Furthermore, I was informed that to request a specific technician, I had to email the district manager. This crucial information should have been communicated when I made my request.
Your front desk staff needs to be aligned, and clients should not be subjected to trainees for laser appointments. The entire experience, from start to finish, was unacceptable.
I had to update my review today and drop it another star. Customer service and integrity is every to me when dealing with a business. Before my last appointment I have referred 4 family members to SEV three in Philly and one in Alexandria, VA the family members in Philly went recently to their appointment to SEV and requester the same technician for their next appointment and was not told they had to email the district manager to make that request in fact my mother in law requested the same tech her last appointment and future one and none of what was conveyed to me was conveyed to her. Read moreI had to update my review from the last one. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and transparency at SEV Laser. I purchased a package of six sessions, and at NO point during my last appointment did anyone inform me that it was my final session. Instead, they booked me for another appointment without mentioning that my package had ended, setting me up to be blindsided when I arrived today and was suddenly expected to pay out of pocket.
This is completely unacceptable. Not only was I never informed, but the failure to communicate this crucial detail feels like a deliberate tactic to squeeze more money out of customers. As a senior citizen, I feel taken advantage of, and the lack of consideration for clear communication is beyond frustrating.
If I had been properly informed at my last session, I could have made an informed decision about whether to purchase additional sessions or explore other options. Instead, I was ambushed at the front desk with an unexpected bill, putting me in an incredibly uncomfortable position.
This is not how a reputable business should treat its customers. Transparency and honesty should be non-negotiable in customer service, yet SEV Laser has failed in both areas. I will not be returning, and I will be warning others about this unprofessional behavior.
If you’re considering purchasing a package here, be prepared for poor communication and surprise charges.
