A review I posted 10 mths ago was accidentally deleted while showing it to a friend (It was 1st on ur review list). Wish I knew how to restore it. When service is lousy I let ppl know it. So, ppl need 2 know when a store provides great service! Last nite, Fred, the checkout cashier helped me weigh & price my veggies, managed my access card & held my previous purchases while I went back 4 a 4gotten item. Anyone could have done that but not as polite & attentive as he. It means a lot when u'r n ur 70s & someone helps u w/o leaving u feeling dumb. I shop here all the time & have had many experiences w/ur employees. They really seem to take serving the public seriously. I get my money's worth in more ways than one. Thanks, ShopRite!
Hello: with all my satisfactory experiences (wkly), I need to post this special one. Yesterday in the seafood section I wz waited on by a young man who wz nothing less than a wizard! I bought crabs, not certain how I wanted them prepared & he steamed several legs differently for a taste test. I wz floored! He even gave me info on the spices sold there after I made my choice. There were a steady line of customers & I watched as he treated each of us like we were special, multitasking his a-- off; & he wz fast! He gave us a time our order would be ready (5 - 15 min) & they were! I've seen a lot in my 70+ years but he's a whip! He's also indicative of the special attention ShopRite exercises in putting the right person in the right spot. Kudos to Jahmil & I hope u stay w an already excellent team. (Sorry 4 the looong review... đ no I'm not). John B.
Great service 2day. Team has great attitude & superwilling to help each other as well as the customer. It's a shame they work at wages lower than most stores pay their employees. Hmmm...Sorry they only got a $10 bonus last Xmas. Ouch!!!
Oops!!! Just learned their pay scale is about the same as other supermarkets...sorry đ The $10 Xmas bonus is still correct, tho. Bcuz they work so hard as a team I hope they get a larger bonus next Xmas. I'll pay the extra pennies on their products đ
Shop Rite continues to be the favorite on my review list. Through gr8 products/prices their service is really outstanding! Last week I got there near closing time looking for a rotisserie chicken when Dave (manager) asked if he could help. Bottom line? He went to area where they stored the chickens & brought me one back. That's the kind of service that has me shopping there consistently. I let others know when a business is doing a gr8 job servicing the public.    Read moreThis shoprite is terrible. They lack the ability to meet the basic needs of the customer which is have inventory/ items available for purchase. I shopped there today to purchase cakes. They were out of whole cakes and only had halves available because the bakery had too little employees working. So I asked to purchase 2 halves to make a whole cake at a whole cake price. The lady in the bakery was rude and said an immediate No with attitude. A bakery employee told me cakes where almost done but it would take 15 mins. So I asked for a manager who advised me there was nothing they could do. I had to stand in line for 15 mins just to speak with the manager. But the cakes weren't done or even started. I also overheard other customers complaining about their lack of goods. I.e. no. Cooked chicken, no cheeses at the deli. What I don't understand is why are they out of so many things. I thought they were a business and the store employees aren't helpful and give customer's attitude when they try to find resolution to concerns. You need to sale cake I need to buy it. Help me buy it. You need to sale chicken, help me buy it. Have items available for purchase. I was so frustrated with this store I seriously wrote this long review.    Read moreJust want to note right off the bat that the time now is 7:56pm. My home delivery was supposed to be here between 5pm-7pm. Now donât get me wrong, an hour past my expected timeframe is no problem at all. Heck, they could even say âsorry itâll be there by 9â and I would be okay. Especially because itâs holiday time. IT IS ALL ABOUT COMMUNICATION!!! As someone who works in customer service myself, Iâm very disappointed in the lack of communication from Shoprite.
Why have I literally been sitting on hold on and off for 46 minutes now waiting to speak to Shoprite from Home? I could be wrong, but doesnât that department close earlier than the rest of the store? If so, then why is the cs rep putting me on hold for someone who wonât answer instead of telling me theyâre closed and getting a manager? If not, then why isnât anyone answering to at least say âhold on, weâre very busyâ?
And please donât get me started on how rude the customer service rep is. Immediate attitude as soon as she answered the phone. My mother called first to get an ETA and the rep was yelling at her. She better be happy that she fixed her tone when I decided to call in myself.
At this point, I donât even want the delivery anymore. I want my money back, and I want to never shop at a Brownâs shoprite ever again.
