Why I have traditionally been a Lowes customer...I desperately searched for a specific model snow blower. I purchased online from this store which said it had two left (according to their web service). Purchased a gift card for credit card points and was delighted to get a call from them an hour or so later saying "sorry we only had one of this model left and we sold it to someone else". I thought to myself how could you be off on two $700 items but ok, the worker was kind enough to call other stores who also indicated they had one left...30 minutes after multiple calls to other stores (whose inventory indicated internally that they had one left) only one location had one but it had no box and was a display model (Caster ave store). I asked how could so many stores be off on their inventory of a $600+ item?...crickets. Last but not least, we asked if there could be some kind of discount for all the trouble or for the fact that it was open box display model...I was told NO because its basically brand new (no box, screws had rust and there was dust and dirt all over it). EGO please expand your sales out side of Home Depot, their inventory for the Philadelphia area is awful, I had to pay full price for an open box not new weathered item. P.S. the Home Depot workers were nice/helpful but AWFUL experience, will not shop here again.

compared to other locations, this location really seems to take great care of the plants in the garden area. Plants were well watered and arranged together with similar plants which provided an attractive array of colorful flowers, shrubs, vegetables, trees and more. I also had a very positive interaction with the workers and management as I was there to pick up a shed that didn't end up fitting in my car. They spent time trying to make adjustments to my order to get it delivered instead. We ended up having to cancel and reorder online later but each individual did their best to help even as the store was closing. Thanks to all!

Never buy an appliance from this store. It took them 3 tries to figure out how to get us our washer and dryer and then the person they sent out said it couldn’t be leveled ( we ended up doing that ourselves) and then asking us for duct tape even though we paid for installation and you shouldn’t use duct tape. At the end we just opted to return it, and wait another week and bought a washer dryer at another store. That’s how terrible of an experience it was. I’m not kidding when I say it would be better to just pick up appliances off the side of the road.

I would not recommend going to this specific Home Depot for anything. Based on the below experience, if they cannot help people kindly find humidifiers, I would not trust them to help with anything bigger.

On Sunday Jan 19th 2014 in the late afternoon, my fiance and I went to Home Depot (S Philadelphia #4101) in search of a humidifier. I was sick and had lost my voice. We entered the store and looked around, and found de-humidifiers but no humidifiers. My fiance asked the closest person we could find near the de-humidifiers. He told us to go to a different aisle. We went there, and there were no humidifers. My fiance then asked the next closest person we could find, who told us to go to a different aisle. We didn't see any. We asked another person, and again didn't see any. Then we had the displeasure of running in to Tina in hardware. We asked her. She told us to go back to where we started (aisle 46). We went, and discovered we had been there already. We couldn't find anyone to ask in the area again. We made our way back to the front of the store. We incidentally ran into Tina again. My fiance said he didn't see any back there. She said "you'll have to ask them, it's their department." I then whispered (as I had lost my voice from illness), "We've asked four people." She then replied, "Get the h--- out. Go to customer service, b----" as she walked away from us.

We then got a manager, for obvious reasons. She had us write a statement, apologized, and called the person who could actually help us. Even HE could not find the exact location of the humidifiers, although he brought us to the correct general area. Eventually, we found them ourselves (they were on an end cap in the far back corner of the store).

This was literally the worst retail experience I have ever had in my life. Something that should have taken 10 minutes took an hour, and Tina is quite frankly the rudest customer service rep I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. I do not plan to enter a Home Depot ever again. The ONLY reason that I bothered to continue with my purchase at this store was because I feared that going to the nearby Lowe's would be just as cumbersome. I was a little afraid to deal with any other customer service reps that day.

The customer service at this Home Depot needs some...

Is there a zero star available? I ordered my appliances back in September 12th, today is November 5th. Delivery was suppose to be in Mid-October. Each delivery has a four hour window period and 1st time, the delivery was expected between 7:30 am and 11:30 am. Driver calls me at 11 am to say he has an emergency and ask me if I can reschedule, I said sure, not a problem. Second time delivery second week was expected 11 am til 3 pm. Driver came around 1:30 and said there's no stacking kit, so it would have to be rescheduled. Third time in the third week delivery the driver just came into the apartment, did whatever he did with a clipboard while looking around, then he just left without a word. I called him numerous time to see what happened and there was no answer. Now this is going onto the 4th time. Time is money.. You all know that. How would anybody like to skip work and lose time in four different days for waiting around for excuses and not receiving their products they ordered almost two months ago?

Called south Philly Columbus Blvd., associate, supervisor, and manager was just complete useless and of course used the political correct answer. How is sorry for the inconvenience going to solve the problems? My time is lost, TIME IS MONEY.... Let's see they lose time at home sitting around for something to never show up. Of course they won't do it.... But do it..... see how you feel.

*Update 11/5.. today is the 4th time and the driver still does not have the washer and dryer in his truck because his manifest said he was to perform some service....

the whole time on the phone before i was told that the washer/dryer delivery also included installation, so NO I"M NOT RESCHEDULING 5th time. I canceled the whole order, called home depot credit card company to close my entire account and refund my money back. If I have to wait for the 5th attempt, I much rather go with...

Seemingly every time I pick up an order placed online with this store, there is a problem. Usually the staff picks the wrong item (e.g., flat head screwdriver instead of Phillips) and they don't bother to check the SKU number. My latest trip to this store was the worst, I had ordered a small (25 lb.) ladder and the customer service agent took 10 minutes to call around and figure out where it was supposed to be; she didn't understand the code number for its location. That turned out to be the Pro desk, on the other side of the store. The Pro desk agents had a bad-attitude body language, as if they were resentful that they had to acknowledge the presence of a customer waiting in line. When I finally was served, one of them rolled out a 16 foot long ladder that was three times the size of the one I had ordered. When I informed them of the mistake, I was told in an unapologetic tone "You have to go back to Customer Service." It took another wait back at the CS desk until somebody finally walked over with the correct ladder, which (surprise!) had my last name on it in 3 inch high letters. Very disappointing. I've resolved never again to use the online ordering process at this store. I filed a negative review with HD a couple of days ago (under my real name, not my google + alias), and this morning I got a voice mail from "Cindy" at the store, who did not bother to leave a call back number. In fact I couldn't understand what store she said she was with, I had to google the phone number on the caller ID to find out. My read: Cindy was just going through the motions of doing a required follow-up call after negative feedback. The situation will not change at this store until management does a much better job of training employees who interact...
