What was most terrible was the mean/annoyed looks from the cashier I first spoke with, her refusal to help me, and general disdain for me. I thought I was going to cry because she was so uncivil to me and no one would help me. I am not that sensitive. I don't expect people to be super flowery and over nice, but I at least expect them to be civil and not treat me like that. Just be normal, don't be so rude and mean. Help customers and seek out answers. I spent a total of 30 minutes in the store trying to get help. It was one of the strangest experiences because people in regular life aren't so combative and oddly mean.
When I entered to make a return, one person was at the front and no other customers were there or checking out. I explained that I had ordered a frame online and had the information about my order and pickup on my phone. The cashier, said okay, but I really need a receipt and gave me a weirdly mean look. I explained that I was not given one during the store pickup, but repeated that I had the information (original order and pickup confirmation with the item listed and price) on my phone. She asked if I had my original card, I gave it to her and she did something and said she could find it or help me since I did not have a receipt. I told her I would call customer service and she said fine, but offered no other solution. While I stood up front and was on the phone with customer service, other employees came to the front as they did tasks with orders and returns. While on hold I explained and asked questions to others who also offered me no help or assistance. One other employee also gave me rude looks, did not respond to my question, and told someone else to answer me. After I got off the phone with was waiting for an email from customer service telling them to do my return, one of the employees finally got a manager who came up and said that of course I could make the return with the information I had (my original info I offered from the beginning). Perhaps there is an issue with connections and how things can be done in the system, which made the return confusing. In the end, it was the oddity of how mean everyone seemed to be, really strange. I had brought in an item for custom framing when I was there, but I just left because it took so long and why would I even want to spend money there after they treated...
Read moreThere is a young lady that works here that is extremely rude. Forgot her name but she is a light skinned black girl with curly hair. I tried asking her for some assistance and she literally ignored me and walked past me as if I was non existent which was totally unprofessional and disrespectful and when I proceeded to try to get her attention she began getting hostile and aggressively told me she was helping another customer which I wasn’t aware of until she said it she then proceeds to cause a scene stating comments like “ask someone else for help” and that she “doesn’t get paid enough” and also stated I “yelled at her” to another employee when I was just trying to get her attention since she was ignoring me as if I wasn’t a paying customer like everyone else and she wasn’t on the clock… As a former retail worker myself I could tell she was not happy with her job and takes it out on customers which is unfortunate and sad. All I wanted was to buy supplies for a DIY project I was anticipating... Thats all. I can’t believe I endured that in a Michael’s than all places! I would definitely not be coming back to this location in the future! This was a terrible and humiliating experience…...
Read moreI had a Great Experience in Michaels. I walked the store trying to find what I needed and I was unsure of where the item would be. I went to fine a sales associate to help. Ronnah was stocking the shelves. I asked her could she help me. She stopped was she was doing and listened to me very attentively (as I wasn’t sure of the name of what I needed I described what I was trying to do) she then suggested a few things and took me and showed me where each item was on the shelf. She was very knowable of the products and if she wasn’t she read the labels so she could be able to give me what I was asking for. She was very patient with me. She did not walk away until she was sure I had found what I came for. When I went to check out, the cashier Bonnie was on the register, she was smiling, very attentively asking if I found everything ok. I explained to her what I was trying to create and what I had purchased she informed me that if I needed more of the item I could order it offline and she told me about the different coupons and deals. It was an overall...
