Leaving a review here after contacting best buys directly and not hearing back. Complaint about store/store manager: In November, I visited Best Buy to purchase a first-generation Apple Pencil. I informed the Best Buy representative about my preference, but they accidentally processed a second-generation pencil. They refunded it and processed a gen 1 pencil instead, but mistakenly handed us a gen 2 pencil. When I tried using it with my iPad at home, it didn't work. Although we intended to return it to Best Buy, the pencil ended up sitting on our counter for months. Today (June 24th) at 10 am, we finally went to Best Buy located at 2300 S Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19148, to return it. The store manager's behavior was confusing and frustrating. We explained the situation, and initially, he agreed to refund us with store credit, even proposing a $10 deduction. However, he later changed his offer, stating that he couldn't proceed and dismissing our experience as a mere story from November. This interaction made both my partner and me uncomfortable due to the haggling and the manager's implication that we were lying and at fault for the delay(not acknowledging the initial fault of the representative). He could have just said no. It was a strange experience, and it has led us to reconsider shopping at Best Buy. We will be taking our business elsewhere, including for the purchase of a washer and dryer combo. The attached card below. They don’t ever get back to you. It’s a scram email.

I have been to this particular Best Buy as it's closer to my location and I can walk there but admittedly I buy my electronics online. In early 2021 I purchased a Galaxy Tab S6 lite from this store at 6pm and it was delivered the next day by 10am. When I couldn't unlock it because I thought I put in the right code, when I set lock code I hit a wrong key and couldn't figure out what I did. I didn't think to make an appointment but I just walked in. The Geek squad has always been to the rescue when needed! They were very gracious and understanding and helped me without the appointment anyway and after charging the unit thankfully they unlocked it! The one time I don't purchase the Geek squad/Total Tech protection of course, but the price to unlock the tablet was very reasonable in my opinion. Since then and more recently, this year I have purchased the Galaxy Tab S8, the Google nest speaker, 2 smart plugs, smart bulbs and this time I purchased the Total Tech protection which will pay for itself really. I really like that they will recycle lots of different electronics, which is great because I have quite a few things I need to dispose of safely and correctly. The only issue, and it's just not here, but pretty much any store these days, shelves are little bare. I recommend buying online for that reason and the customer service and agents on the floor are helpful and knowledgeable, and help answer your questions to make the most informed decision on what product best suits your needs

BEFORE YOU GO: If you're going to pick up an online order, you should know that they have no logical, organized system for you to get your order(s). As you'll see in the first picture below, the yellow arrow is where the sign says "online/phone order pickup" , so naturally, that's where you would stand to pick up your order. But no! There's a sign (see the purple arrow) that says "line starts here". Apparently, all the lines start there-- for geek squad, returns, and yes, online order pickup. After standing in the wrong (technically right) place for 10 minutes, I and another gentleman asked a worker how do we pick up our orders. That's when we found out that the long line (purple arrow) was where we were supposed to be the whole time. Now, this wouldn't have been as bad if we hadn't stood there for 10 minutes, with multiple employees walking past us and saying nothing. If we hadn't stopped someone and asked, we'd probably still be standing there right now. Anyway, hopefully you'll read this and you won't make the mistake I made. As we stood in the line, we saw more people come in, dealing with the same confusion, and tempers were flaring. Aside 1: the only reason I went inside to pick up my order was because the curbside line wasn't moving. (See photo 2) Aside 2: I just went to the Best Buy in Springfield a few days ago and the person at the door asks you what you need, and tells you where to go. I was in and out. See -- simple solutions.

3rd update: turns out Best Buy will likely be filing bankruptcy. Or at least that seems imminent. They lied to me about receiving a refund and told me to call local law enforcement after this was ultimately on them to help correct. In the end, they refused the refund. What successful business declines refunds when they are completely liable? Failing ones. Listen to the other reviews that are saying they did not get a refund and should have shopped somewhere else. I'll make sure my network stays clear of Best Buy.

2nd Update: delivery left it RIGHT OUTSIDE OF MY FRONT DOOR JUST LIKE I TOLD THEM IT WOULD AND SOMEONE STOLE THE PACKAGE. Getting the refund processed was a 2-second call. Photo attached at how careless their relationship is with UPS.

UPDATE: If I could give less than 1 start I would. At no point did anyone relay to me that they are not going to deliver a tv to a vacant home. (Signature should be required for this kind of merch, no?) And why doesn't the manager know that? Just put these guys out of their misery and close this location. They are literally throwing away your inventory. Still waiting on my refund. SHUT THIS LOCATION DOWN. These employees are wasting the owner's money. Such a shame. Surprised they are not bankrupt.

I am horrified by the customer service here. God forbid you have to make a return. Best Buy.... this will be short and effective. Made an in store purchase, received an email receipt, and it seems they gave me multiple Member ID numbers based on the fact that I have 3 names even though all Member IDs have the exact same email and phone number attached 😒 so GUESS WHAT, if I have to make a return, I have to call the number that is ALWAYS busy(oh wait, they just simply do not accept calls anymore how convenient!) OR speak to someone via the chat online which (oh yeah, this account could already be linked to the wrong Member ID number). Therefore, good luck finding the order in my history at all. Just inconvenient. Archaic system for it to be Best Buy. IF YOU MAKE A PURCHASE AND KNOW YOU HAVE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS JUST MERGE THE DAMN ACCOUNTS. DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT THE USELESS IN STORE "HELPERS"(WHATEVER THESE LOLLIGAGGING FOOLS ARE...

If you expect same day pick up at this location you are sadly mistaken and should try elsewhere. I placed two curbside pickup orders in the last 2 weeks and it took around 10-12 hours to be ready for pickup. Both of my “same day”orders were placed before noon but confirmed they were ready for pickup FINALLY at 10pm which is two hours after the store closed. The first time I waited 3 hours in the parking lot for my order before I completely gave up and went to Target where I was able to pick up the same item for the same price and under 10 minutes. Today? I waited 1.5 hours before getting frustrated, losing patience, and finding the same item online for pickup at Target. Again. Where from order to pickup took roughly an hour.

Not to mention the Best Buy website paints a complete different pickup method than what actually happens when you arrive at this location. The curbside parking spots are covered by plastic bags, which I guess means they’re not for use? So instead the long line of cars for pickup orders creates a nightmare in the parking lot.

Why the entire last left lane of this parking lot wasn’t reserved for curbside pickup only baffles me. And with holiday shopping season approaching, this location is nowhere near ready to handle an influx of pickup orders after what I experienced mid-day on a Wednesday in early December.

Both times I attempted pickup I literally left empty handed because the “ready in an hour or less” for pick up and then only “up to 10 minute wait when arriving” was a complete lie. It already took almost a full day for the order to be ready for pick up and now I have to wait AGAIN when I arrive? I needed my orders ASAP and I thought curbside pickup was the easiest and fastest method but boy oh boy was I wrong. There is nothing same day pickup about any of this ordering process.

Sounds like this location must be hiring because there clearly aren’t enough employees to get done the work at hand when it comes to the curbside experience. Do yourself a favor and order from a different company and get your item shipped to home. Don’t waste the time of day at this mismanaged Best...

Dont bother ordering same day delivery. I ordered a tv to be delivered same day to my son because he was only home that day and then would not be home for tbe next two days to accept a delivery. I got an email that said the delivery was delayed and to reschedule delivery however when I tried to call they said they couldn’t do anything because the order status was waiting for pick up. They told me to call in the morning. So I called in the morning and they tell me the order status is still in limbo because it hasn’t been updated and it’s waiting for the carrier to pick it up. I didn’t want the carrier to pick it up that day because nobody would be home during the delivery. They told me repeatedly that there was nothing that they could do because the system would not allow them to cancel or change delivery. So end result was that they delivered the TV to an empty house on the front porch that is very open and exposed In an original box and just left it. When I ordered it on the website it said a signature would be required which I thought would give me some peace of mind that if nobody was home they would take it back to the store. Nope! They just left it there in the original box on the front porch. I called Best Buy several times getting different answers every single time until I got a tracking number from the carrier. I tried calling the carrier (Roadie) and nobody answered the phone so I just sat there watching the tracking deliver to an empty house. I am in another state So it is not like I could go pick up the box and keep it safe until he was home. Luckily his friend was able to get it and bring it inside. Customer service was useless, no contact available to the carrier and also the tv didn’t even come from the south philly store i ordered it from. They picked it up in New Jersey somewhere. NEVER AGAIN BEST BUY! Ill order from somewhere else and save...
