They had a drill display, display as in everything on the shelves was a drill standing all by itself, 8x10 sign read $9.99. WOW what a great deal, asked the worker, who was two feet away from me, if the screws for this drill was close, and commented what a great deal this was on the drill, he looked for the screws, none left, he told me to look downstairs, found bags for $1.99, pack of ten or so, get to register, the drill rings up $39.99, tell her this is wrong, has someone look into it, she says yes the display is there, the sign is there, he did tell you they were $9.99, BUT there not $9.99 the wrong sign was put up, she would NOT give me the drill, she said she talked to the MANAGER and the MANAGER said absolutely not, asked to talk to the MANAGER, she said NO, as for the good deal on the bags, someone put them out and never took the wrapper off, they were $1.99 each, there were three of us who had those bags, I didn't know the other people, the lady who yelled the loudest got the bags, now I have a better understanding of the squeakiest wheel gets the oil, IKEA...

What do you want? It's a giant, big-box, shopping center surrounded by massive half empty parking lots, with a questionable layout, straddling the Delaware Avenue Stroad, in the middle of the city.

You get what you pay for I suppose. It's useful and has stores people in South Philly need. Namely the IKEA.

They could have done... I don't know, SOMETHING, better with the way it sits on the waterfront and absolutely denies access to it by the public, except for a very thin trail behind the Walmart The Gays™ use for their "cruising". So you know, there's that. That Walmart is NOT open 24 Hrs btw.

I'd review the pedestrian connections and walkability if this Commercial District, but apparently they did everything they possibly could to discourage anyone from walking around the place. It's a pedestrian nightmare, but hey you can just park literally anywhere with these parking lots you could fit 6 neighborhoods inside.

There's a Chick-fil-A....

We haven't been here in a while, but looked forward to seeing their newly constructed and decorated rooms. NOT A DISAPPOINT. They had they old favorites and some new items which we plan to get. We enjoyed walking through and getting ideas from their beautifully decorated rooms. Even though their cafeteria was open, their hot dog cafe was not. Miss those hot dogs and custards. Also, we learned that their catalogue is no longer produced. Everything on line sorta takes the fun out of shopping at home with the catalog for us "old school" shoppers Nonetheless, we enjoyed being there and look forward to visiting again soon. Oh, we learned a little swedish... start your day with a hej (hello). 😊 Worth the visit. ENJOY. Their swedish meatball meal is...

Wonderful place for shopping. All items essential for us is available here and that too at prices lesser than their competitors. Conveniently big store with ample parking. Rest rooms available. You have to go around in the exhibits on the first floor and make a list of your items to be purchased on the list pad and select them in the ground floor of the store and proceed for check out. Return policy is available. If you are hungry restaurant is avlbl in first as well as ground floor. Enjoy shopping

I recently had the pleasure of discovering IKEA's cafe while stopping for a meal with a driver during our layover. As we waited for our group, I was delighted by the Swedish meatball sundae and ended up having seconds - it was that good! The cafe was a wonderful surprise, and I left feeling satisfied and impressed.
