What a hidden gem! The Granite County Museum is a fascinating stop—rich in mining history and local heritage. Admission is just $5 for adults, and kids 12 and under get in free, which makes it an absolute bargain for the experience you receive. We were especially thrilled that it’s dog-friendly—our pup Abby was able to join us on this historical adventure! The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about preserving the legacy of this area. The exhibits are filled with pieces of the past that remind us how easy it is for history to fade if we don’t make the effort to remember and share it. This museum does a beautiful job of keeping those stories alive. If you find yourself near this charming town, don’t miss the chance to stop by. It’s a small museum with a big impact—well worth the visit!

6/2022 Amazing museum. Mining related ,also other artifacts from this time period . Cowboy stuff, Indian stuff, tools, sewing, farming stuff, printing, fashion...all right there for you to see and walk right up to. Couldn't believe the HUGE piston driven air compressor used for mining. Love the mine tunnel with sound effects.Took a bit over an hour to view maybe 6 rooms . Really well done . Cheap entrance fee.

Incredible museum for the size of the community. Great mining and Native American displays.
