This was the closest Subway for me, and I would come here often for a sandwich and a drink. The prices varied wildly and so did the staff, so much so there was no consistency to speak of, and that's the real bummer.
The sandwiches would normally be standardized, so you can pretty much expect the same ingredients in like proportions. Not at this restaurant: if they were running low on a topping or an ingredient, they would simply choose to dish out less - very unprofessional.
Some of the staff take the time to welcome you to the shop and that's terrific nowadays. By the same token, folks simply looking on as their fellow employees are too busy with customers, apathetically pretending to be busy doing 'something,' while their fellow co-workers are clearly overwhelmed, that's crass.
During the coupon days, some items were simply unavailable. I would return again and again, only to be told deridingly: 'oh, you back again, still want sandwich X?' Yes, I back again, still want it! 'Yeah, we out!' Too bad you out, yet advertising the item as your special of the day. Frustrating, to say nothing of atrocious grammar.
Somebody in management should really take a moment and explain proper etiquette when helping paying customers: please don't be crass, gross, or defiant, and try not to freak out the customer. I was served several times by a guy whose name badge read sometimes Lucifer and sometimes Satan. Are you serious, allowing those jokers to pose...
Read moreThe guy at the store told me once he found out I was paying EBT said their machine was broken. I then informed him it's the only way I can pay. He was about to keep the sandwiches I had ordered. I then asked him to at least try. To which he had me try on the main terminal which it didn't work. Because, that machine wasn't built to take EBT. He then broke out the EBT machine. From under the counter. I produced a coupon that was 3 foot long sandwiches for $17.99 which I told him I had before ordering. He said after scanning the coupon it had already been used. Which wasn't true I saw my friend take it if the coupons you get in the mail so it was a straight up lie. I told him I never heard of an excuse like that before. He acted like he scanned it again and said it's already been used at this point I just said to myself this guy has led to me about EBT now this. I'll let karma get him. So I just paid it and left. While, I was leaving a couple came in and he immediately said to them the EBT was down and not working. Same lie. This guy needs to be fired. Short white guy probably 30"s or 40"s closes the store I think as it was right around ten pm when...
