Took a few months to get in before I was called to reschedule because they have a new doctor. What happened to mine? I eventually saw Dr. Vaysbrot. She didn't understand my concerns or questions. After being there for three hours, waiting over thirty minutes to await being checked out - (our nurse Cindy is amazing though!), I had to rush out due to other illness. I needed to follow up with them. Was told when I called that my nurse and doctor do not have phone extensions and they do not take messages for them, that I had to contact them online. It didn't work. For a couple months, I awaited IT to call, that was a joke. Upon scheduling my radiology tests, the orders were incorrect and I had to wait for a couple months for this to get cleared up. Upon a procedure back in the office, I was not prepared for one single bit - therefore, I was scared and in pain. Then my doctor tells me I have a serious brain vascular disease but says it's fine. Another nerve issue, she won't even try to get someone to attempt to maneuver my insurance into helping me with that issue. I asked about a new treatment and she said that the treatment isn't for my diagnosis. I did research and if she's a new doctor, she should know of the new indication. A separate diagnosis I have, she told me to see a different specialist as it was not a nervous system disorder. A big HOWEVER, their fancy computer screen with information on diagnoses in the patient rooms, when it flashes to MY diagnosis with illustrations, symptoms and definition - it says it's NOT for the other specialist but for the neurologist!!! Even if she's new, she should have had a fellowship and hospitalist position for a couple years and have her info straight. I'd call a manager so this doesn't happen to others, but I doubt I'll be able to get through nor will...
Read moreUpdate: This doctor overcharged me (we have proof) and she continues to bill me. We have tried for a year to get this resolved through the billing department. I'm at the end of my patience-1/29/24
Front staff nice, doctor was arrogant and condescending and offered no care just what I felt was contempt. Several things about this appointment were sketchy. She referred to an old MRI more than 10 years old - how she had access to that is beyond me.
She tapped my knees, looked in my mouth and had me walk down a hallway. Those were her diagnostic tools. She was rude, lectured me on communicable disease and diminished my 30 year issues as irrelevant. She offered no solutions, no suggestions. She referenced a physician I saw outside of the Banner network more than 10 years ago which felt like a violation of privacy and trust.
She called a lesion on my leg a "bruise" as casually as one might notice an age spot. It is a lesion and they erupt when I flare I have plenty of documentation and photos to show. She gaslit me, offered no help and sent me on my way. She was condescending and refused to speak to me as a colleague instead she treated me as someone delusional. I am a former board member of a national research organization and a highly educated individual yet she spoke to me as if I was a...
Read moreDr. Nida Laurin has a poor bedside manner. I wasn’t expecting her to heal me but I was expecting compassion and help. When I told her about my face drooping and I showed her a picture I took of when it happened, she told me it’s just because my face is misshaped. Then when I told her I’m developing red dots on my body she just said “I don’t know about that” and then went over my labs. Dismissed again. She made me feel like a task on her checklist. Don’t go here if you’re looking for quality care. Dr. Laurin doesn’t care.
Edit: 02/14/2024
I was diagnosed with MS. The facial symptoms that I went to see Dr. Nida for was one of the first symptoms of MS. I still remember this doctors smug unphased look when she asked me to pull my mask down and said I just have a mis-shaped face. It was all of 3 minutes (I'm being generous with the time) she saw me. She also told me to see psych. I was scrolling through the National MS website page and saw Dr. Nida as a provider for MS. Do not see this doctor no matter which giant healthcare organization she's with. I felt I should inform the public again about my experience with this so called medical...
