I've struggled with whether or not to write this review. I was a business owner for 18 years and my intention is not to ever hurt anyone's business. But, the cut I got from Stephanie on 10/31/24 was the worst of my life. I just recently moved to Phoenix and was impressed by Stephanie's rave reviews so I thought I could trust her with my hair. I'm 52 years old, have fine, straight hair that takes forever to grow. My hair was nearly all 1 length just passed my shoulders with some long layers. I always lean toward a conservative trim when I first meet a stylist and we discussed taking 1/4" off in total length. She showed me with her thumb and index finger that she would take off about "that much", indicating about 1/4". Unfortunately, as you can see by the photos, there was more than 2.5" cut off. I explained that I liked that my stylist in Florida always left it slightly longer in the front. It should've been a red flag when Stephanie tried talking me out of the longer layers in front. She said if they weren't going to be dramatically longer, there was no point to them. I ultimately agreed since this was just a trim and I wrongly assumed that the back and front would be the same length. I never dreamed she would cut so much off the front and leave me with lopsided layers that don't blend. Stephanie had said that if we did too many layers, my hair would be see-through, which is correct. But, then she proceeded to cut 2 completely different layers and used a razor that can make hair appear thinner and cause breakage. It's so uneven now and has that "see through" result anyway. Unfortunately, I didn't notice when I was at the salon because she styled it straight. So, you might ask why wouldn't I contact her and give her a chance to fix it? It's literally taken 3 years to get the length where I wanted it and now I'm starting over. There's no way I will let her touch my hair again. I've cried over this haircut more times than I can count. Maybe that sounds shallow but I literally don't feel feminine and there's nothing I can do now except wait for it to grow back. Update based on response "While I don’t have a record of this particular visit". My appointment time was Thursday Oct 31, 2024...
Read moreStephanie saved my hair! No other way to put it. Back in 2020, I experienced massive, extreme hair loss after getting/recovering from Covid-19. I LOVED my long hair and was horrified. I was introduced to Stephanie through a friend and I trusted her with cutting it all off. Eventually, to help with the hair loss trauma, I decided to finally dye it some fun colors. She was amazing and really helped me with that process and hair care. Stephanie is safe with the hair color, bleach, and explains the process. My hair has slowly been growing back healthy and getting its thickness back. It has been an amazing hair journey with her and I would trust no one else to cut my hair, literally. I will not go to...
