it's an awful, deplorable place to work.
I started in reservations then moved to customer service. in the handbook it clearly stated personal hygiene and such but they allow people to show up in wrinkled clothes and body odor. when I was training I had everyone in customer service department teach me things I wasn't supposed to do. eventually people complained about my perfume and I had someone sexually harass me but h.r. wanted to threaten me when I came to them regarding emails being sent to me from fellow employees.
one thing after another....
I was sexually harassed and they threatened to fire me because I responded to the emails telling the people to leave me alone.
people could smell my perfume. its 80.00 worth so yes... you will smell when I walk by.
they reprimanded me in front of coworkers. this wasn't a simple talk. they did it in front of everyone and they were all laughing and giggling for weeks. they stripped me of any body spray at all because its office politics and favoritism.
a supervisor harassed me and threatened to fire me after bribing me with free nights at a hotel in california. she would constantly follow up with another supervisor from another department and add personal comments into my file.
after I developed health issues of degenerative joint disease and disc disease along with hoshimotos thyroiditis disease.. I was covered under FMLA. Ada and short term disability. after almost 4 years of devoting my time and my health deteriorating and hard work Mona pulled me into the office after fired me. keep in mind I was due to have surgery.
the company is ridiculous.
however the manager for security is the best part of it. he is kind and warm.
everyone else who works for best western does everything they're not supposed to be doing. they go against company policy including managers supervisors and leads.
I received awards for a job well done and they canned me.

Read moreWorked with the Best Western in Clemson, SC this past fall with a block of 12 rooms and good success. Had a similar need for this April 2018 so we looked to secure a block of rooms 3 months ahead of time in January. Apparently, due to some staffing changes only 5 of our rooms were booked. Serving our handicapped community we needed to insure rooms were accessible and despite Mia calling me to work on the matter, she never called back despite my leaving 4 voice mails and stopping in and leaving a message last week. Today, I've been trying to reach her again as we are running out of time for accommodations with the April camp. Same issue. Left voicemail and she didn't call back. When I called the hotel again staff put me on hold for over 5 minutes looking for her and then dumped me into her voice mail. Called back 3 times and nobody picked up. 4th attempt someone picked up and offered to give her a note. I asked for a manager and they hung up on me. Called back again, same lady picked up, asked for a manager and now I've been on hold for over 12 minutes. Assuming they do not have any intention on picking up. Too, bad. We were booking 12 rooms at 5 nights at a time and one of our partners did the same thing recently so I would expect we will no longer be doing business with them in the future.
