Body Beautiful Day and Med Spa — Attraction in Phoenix

I literally never write any review but this company is not organized. I had appointments 3 times first time I went in I got rescheduled due to them not having someone available for the time they told me was available. Mind you they knew I lived in Maricopa,AZ which is very far I confirm with them twice to make sure everything was good. Then I schedule for my moms birthday as a surprise let them know also that is was a surprise and nothing should be under her name. They reschedule me at a later time due to not having anyone available then after rescheduling they rescheduled me again because one lady wasn’t available for that day anymore. I decided to cancel the service due to their time and days were not working with my schedule with work and due to living in Maricopa. They decide to send me out a cancellation notice with $100 worth of fees due to the COMPANY not having availability at the times they booked me for not only that because saying I need to pay out of pocket for there workers due my rescheduled appt my appointment got rescheduled due to them calling letting me know no one was available for an appt that day and for the following times. I called and they said they couldn’t do nothing regarding the fees and I still needed to pay it and on top of that I was trying to do something nice for my mother and they send her out A BILL with the fees telling her she needs to pay it. No one got a service done. I will never recommend anyone here ever again this is very sad that I even had to write this I was very disappointed...

I booked a spa package for my birthday (on my actual birthday) that included a 60-minute massage and a 60-minute facial. The massage was excellent, and the front desk staff were welcoming. Unfortunately, the facial was a major disappointment.

After my massage ended at 1:30 PM, I was brought to the waiting area. The esthetician did not come to get me until 1:42 PM, and I was back in the lobby by 2:20 PM—meaning the facial lasted, at most, 35 minutes. The shortened service was neither acknowledged nor explained.

The facial itself felt impersonal and rushed. There was no explanation of the products used or steps taken, and no warning before touching more sensitive areas such as my lips or scalp. During the scalp massage, product from the esthetician’s gloves transferred into my hair, which had been professionally styled earlier that day. I had to wash and restyle it before my birthday event.

Following the facial, the esthetician discussed my skin concerns and recommended products—unfortunately, this occurred in the lobby, within earshot of other employees. A more private setting would have been appropriate for that conversation.

I reached out right away via the contact form on the website and never heard back. I also called and left a messageviato give the business a chance to address my concerns directly, but received no response. I don’t take writing negative reviews lightly, but the combination of shortened service, lack of professionalism, and absence of follow-up compelled me to share...

I decided on 3 hours of a variety of services based on Google reviews prior to April 2016.

I received a facial ($65) by Sylvia and eyebrow waxing ($9). This was the worst service I received. I arrived early and filled out 4 pages of paperwork. Then proceeded to wait when I was the only client in the building. So if you run late, shouldn't I receive the same time-allotted services? Not so, as the 60 minute facial was only 45 minutes. The eyebrow waxing was "meh" as she didn't even bother to pluck any of the stray hairs missed by the waxing. Maybe I expected too much, but I've received better services by qualified staff at Cost Cutters than what this salon is marketing. Don't bother on either of these services.

I did receive a nice 90 minute massage ($125) with added foot reflexology by Rachel (I believe). But when I checked out Renee overcharged me by $15. I had to bring up their website on my phone to show them the quoted $30 price (not $45) for the added reflexology of the feet.

So when you combine the negatives versus the positives, I couldn't give the 3 star rating and I certainly didn't think this was a 4.7 star experience. It was overpriced for the services received.
