Staying at Hampton you expect a level of consistency. ||This one missed the mark.||We had that with our room. But not the breakfast..which was a bit of a disaster ..both days we were there ||The room was huge. We had a king which left a large area for the pull out couch, table, desk etc. Plenty of room to put our bags and stuff. Desk, and night stands, had plenty of plugs, USB outlets etc to charge everything. |Another family member had one of the double queen rooms and said the room needed a makeover. From other reviews and some workers we saw, it looked like they were still working on renovations in some parts of the hotel.||Wifi worked ok, but its rather irksome that today you get a slow speed from a hotel and have to pay more for a high speed that everyone else offers for free as the normal, only, wifi. I only use it to remote into my office, surf the web and collect emails, but it was still rather slow even for that ( I would get a lag on my remote connections which I don’t almost everywhere else …in the world!).||There was a mini fridge and micro, but wish they had a laptop safe.|The breakfast however was not up to what one normally expects from a Hampton. ||The breakfast bar is one of the main reasons to pick a Hampton over some other chains. Not so much that its included in the price (which is nice) but for most people it’s a convenient way to get breakfast quickly before rushing off to a meeting or whatever and not having to hassle to find a restaurant and spend an hour etc.||First the buffet area is a really small area. Especially for the size of the hotel. We were there on a weekend, and it did not seem that the hotel was that full…based on the people we saw and the parking area was not half full. |Still, people were lined up waiting to get food, tripping over each other to get food as its really tight, and worst of all….half the food was gone, regular coffee empty ..with no attendant checking or refilling for quite some time.||We got to the buffet around 9 am (still another hour before it closed) to find the regular coffee empty, the muffins gone and empty, 3 tater tots remaining in the tray, something shriveled up that looked that it might be a sausage, an egg and ham mush with one spoonful left, the oatmeal down to scrapping the sides of the container, the waffle batter almost empty, the syrup gone …and no attendant to be found. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to refill things, we yelled into the side room and someone came out …and slowly refilled things…over the next 15 min or so. And the oatmeal, which my wife was waiting for, was more like soup. The oatmeal was not fully cooked . Probably over time it would absorb the water…but who has time to wait…after already waiting a half hour. breakfast at these buffets should not even take a half hour.||I thought this might have been a fluke the first day, but similar experience the next morning too. | |The hotel has to have enough staff to handle the breakfast bar, and make sure the staff does its job. As for the size of the buffet area, not much they can do about that, but in remolding I would have thought they would have addressed this issue.||Website photos were fairly accurate as to our room (a bit nicer in the photos) but not to my other family members room. Other photos of the hotel are fair representations. ||All that said, the price was reasonable, the room good, parking easy, and the location, for us, was central to where we had to go. So would I stay there again, yes, but I hope the fix the buffet situation ..which is an easy management fix if they stayed on top of and trained their staff, and upgraded some of the food items to “edible” ..even if just to normal Hampton...
Read moreWe love Hilton and are usually well taken care of but this stay was not good at all.
I'll start with the positive, the rate was great. We needed a place to stay last minute while our A/C was repaired. We're locals so we figured the Biltmore area would be clean and comfortable
Also, after requesting a different and clean room (the second time) a nice lady accommodated that request.
Unfortunately, that is where the good ends. The cleanliness was a MAJOR issue.
Also, the bathroom was not cleaned well, smelled bad, and the floor had debris and hair.
My wife I brought this up to the front desk and nothing was done about it. The gentleman asked her, "well, what do you want me to do about it" with a dismissive tone.
My wife simply responded, "we just want the room cleaned." When housekeeping arrived the first thing a lady said to my wife was, "we already cleaned this room so show me where it is dirty."
After showing them, my family left the room for it to be cleaned and it was still dirty upon returning.
When my wife went to the front desk this time and requested it be cleaned, a nice lady provided a different room. That said, my wife and daughter were so frustrated, they decided let's just go home and "tough it out" until our A/C was repaired.
Hiltons have always been good to us in regards to cleanliness and service, but this location missed the mark and then missed again when provided an opportunity to make it right.
I was disappointed that nothing was done to correct the situation for us and wouldn't stay at this location again nor recommend it.
Please do better and speak to the staff about basic cleanliness and more importantly, being kind to guest requesting cleaning service. After all, we're paying for it and simply want it...
Read moreI stayed here for a week for a work trip and I enjoyed my experience.
My first impression was customer service is really good. Shawn checked me in and made sure anything I needed I got. Though throughout my stay Elizabeth really made sure our evenings were enjoyable.
Even though it was late she was always smiling and willing to help us in whatever we needed. Also many times greeted us walking in from a long day of work.
Hotel room was pretty clean and spacious. I liked that I had open space I could do a room workout or yoga in the room. Only negative is if you are a tv person the bed does not line up in front of the tv which I thought was weird. Though I assume it’s because it’s meant to be watched for on the couch.
They have an awesome fitness center with lots of things to use from dumbbells, row machine, cycle machine, etc. Only negative is the pull up bar is to close to roof. I didn’t pay attention and my first pull up I smacked my head on the roof. Also don’t have matching weights for kettlebells.
Breakfast was always stocked never had to wait for anything regardless how many people was there.
Hung out at the pool every night and it was peaceful. Only complaint was jets didn’t work in hot tub. But the pool was always clean and didn’t leave a strong chemical feel on your skin!
I also like they had towels there so didn’t have to bring from the room.
This place is great! I would definitely...
