CLOVR Life Spa - Uptown Plaza — Attraction in Phoenix

The services are amazing! I have only great things to say for the services provided and I’ve had it all. Facials and waxing with Madison, massages with Betty who just makes you feels fabulous, and nails with multiple gals. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Unfortunately, I had to knock down a few stars because I have never had a positive experience with the front desk staff. They are rude, entitled brats. I’m truly shocked how young and inexperienced they ALL are. You’d think it’d be one or two, but they all lack basic customer service skills and there is ZERO transparency when it comes to pricing so I’ll inform you and do y’all a favor. If they need to remove gel and then adding gel is an additional $20! No problem had they notified me BEFORE not as I was walking out. Also, when you add gratuity at the end make sure you give them a cash number because otherwise they will take the percentage you give them from the much higher non-member rate as opposed to the percentage of the member rate you were paying. I was also told by one of them if I invited a friend they would receive a “first timer discount” since I had the single membership plan I thought that was a great promotion deal and when the day came I was forced to pay the non member price for my friend when they are the ones who told me about this existing discount and then acted stupid as if I had made it up. I could keep going with so many more examples but they just need to hire real professionals to oversee the front desk. It truly sets the tone for the whole spa. Instead they hire bratty, barely out of high school snobs who treat their customers like trash.

We have been coming here since they opened and they are awesome. Highly recommend for pedicures massages and more. Staff is super friendly and they provide a complimentary drink with your service. They have this room you can sit in after your service with massage chairs and a big TV that shows nature videos and stuff it's so relaxing. For a little more than massage envy you can go here and have a really nice experience it's like a few dollars more. I have been to massage envy as a client and I worked there for a while so I can tell you that place is get them in get them out but not Clovr they actually want you to relax and enjoy the experience. They take safety measures seriously here and there's lots of space to spread out so don't hesitate to visit and give yourself some me time because in this crazy world you definitely deserve it! Clover has great ambiance and I have always enjoyed the facials and massages. However, the nail salon section needs work. I have only gotten two manicures from them but was disappointed both times. The first time I had a gel manicure and the ultraviolet machine was filthy, and I reluctantly put my hand in because I was going to a wedding and didn’t have much time. The second time was just a standard manicure. The manicurist does not soak your hand and her uniform was filthy. It’s just not that sanitary. They did all wear masks fortunately. I wonder if these girls even have training or are licensed. It’s very strange how that section operates so differently. Needless to say I will continue with facials and massages but will go elsewhere for manicures until they get that section...
