This afternoon I went to Flower Child and I got the cauliflower risotto as my side. Before I ate it, I noticed these little black, almost seed like things on it and as someone who’s allergic to basically all seeds and nuts, I was cautious and I remember looking at the menu beforehand and looked what’s in the cauliflower risotto and it didn’t say it on the big menu up top. But just to be safe before I ate any of it I went up to the person who is taking orders and I asked if there are any seeds or nuts in the cauliflower risotto and she looks in the binder with all the ingredients and everything and she says no there isn’t you’re good so obviously, I believed her because like she works there and she looked in the binder so I take a few bites and I know I’m like it has to be a seed or something so I take it to one of the chefs and I ask what it is and they didn’t know so they took it to someone else to show and they came back and they said it is sesame seeds. Which I am allergic to and I had already asked a worker if there are any seeds or nuts in this. I think that this is unacceptable and could’ve caused me a serious allergic reaction. I had a really itchy mouth after and my stomach still hurts so bad. It is not OK to not have common allergies listed on the menu and especially in the nutritional binder, luckily, I am not severely allergic because that could kill someone. I’m seriously disappointed in this restaurant as a whole.

But let’s get in to this place I’ve had a few times in Texas but I found it Arizona as well so if your in those areas go check them out and for my plant based recommendations get the Mother Earth bowl with a side of the miso ginger dressing its my personal favorite its a few different dishes in the video below to choose from but they aren't vegan, the service was delightful and kind and the food was 8.5 out of 10 i would have this place Flower Child on a weekly bases the drink selection was decent and i do believe they server adult drinks. I'm hoping this resty will make it's way up north to michigan i think it would do great with the selection it carries the parking was plentiful and it was moderately crowded I’m sure they carry vegetarian options and they also cater to the pescatarians and carnivores which is always a great thing.
