FUBAR! I met a friend there, and it cost us $52 to park, and get into the show. My friend had me drive him in, and opted to park in the neighborhood. The condition of the older guns was about average or below average. The price of ammo was absurdly high. There was lots of gimmicky junk, but nothing new. The show seems geared toward the ghetto scum crowd. There were zero high end guns, or optics. Lots of junk aftermarket magazines that are guaranteed to get your ass killed when you need them to work. When I did have a question about buying an item, the whole sales crew for the 20 table space table spoke absolutely no English, at all. They had to ask the own, everything, and he was about 15 customers behind. THIS SHOW IS A CANDY ASS RIP OFF JOKE! When we came to buy guns and the we touched a guitar longer than we did any guns, that shows just what kind of gun show this is. It used to be a good gun show, but now it's FUBAR! $50 for a $30 box of cartridges? $35 for $23 magazine, and we paid $16 to get in?? Save your money, and go for a long walk in a park in a bad neighborhood. You will probably see even more guns,...
Read moreI'm not sure how anyone could ever give 5 stars to this place, especially if they have any past experience or knowledge of firearms. I have been going to gun shows longer then I could walk, in Washington, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas. All of them you would find a vast variety in selection and good prices and could actually haggle on prices on firearms too. You'd walk out with stuff you don't normally come across and for great prices and the most I ever paid for admittance was $8 for shows that were 3 times the size of crossroads of the west. I went to this one when I first moved to Arizona. I was really excited to see what one was like out here. After getting raped for parking and door fee I got inside to be completely disappointed. All the booths mirrored each other. Every table had exact same stuff, all ridiculously overpriced cheap quality guns. Couldn't believe it, they were selling there over stock for more than in their stores. Bottom line is everything in there was of low quality, no varity, high high prices. Go on yelp, every review is the same and dead on. Waste of...
Read moreIt's always nice to go to these shows to see what they have. Went to the Tucson gun show over the weekend and think I may not go back to this one. I know some vendors travel to certain shows and some don't. I ran into one whom refused to let me see a gun in a case. It was a Sig P365 with a golden upper behind a glass case (which was unlocked in the up right position). Several other attendees were allowed to see it but when I asked to see it he grabbed a different one that was no behind the gladd case and said I can look at that one. What a clown to be there to sell guns and not let prospects see it.
There was also an ammo vendor who asked me if I was getting ammo to shoot people or targets. I was a little taken back by the question but assumed he meant self defense or targets? I'm hoping that's what it was so I ended up saying hollow points.
Other than that, Crossroads does excellent with their shows. I see more food vendors which is always nice so we can take a break...
