El Reposo Park — Attraction in Phoenix

Clean park with a few tables where you can sit down for a while. There are some big trees but there was limited shade. I took my dog just to walk around and be outdoors for a while, we enjoyed the quiet and open space. There is a walking trail, I don't know the distance of the loop. There's a playground with a ramada w/tables & charcoal grill near it, no one was there at the time during the day that we were. There's also South Mountain Community Center, I'm not sure what is offered there. Overall a nice, quiet, clean park with plenty of parking.The 4 stars is only because there's not more seating, benches spread around would be nice and helpful for those of us with disabilities preventing long distances. Huge park with lots of things to do. This park gets lots of sun yet there are several shade tress to hide if you're not into the sun like me. I went to run a few laps around the track but I barely finished my warmup walk when some random Hispanic man tries to get my attention. I ignored him luckily i had headphones on but I had my pepperspray ready because he started following me after i ignored him. I left because I felt uncomfortable. Ladies, buddy up and have pepperspray handy because we stay ready so wr dont have to get ready. I finished my walk down 7th. Bathrooms were cleanish for a public park. Located next door to the Senior Center and on the other side a pool El Reposo Park has something for just about everybody! Basketball courts, a baseball diamond, a wide paved trail that accommodates walkers, joggers and runners of all fitness levels.
