I don’t know why I’ve not reviewed Los Altos Ranch Market before. I think the fact that you frequent some places commonly, you tend to put it on the back burner! Well, my last visit made me think twice about reviewing what we take for granted many times as this food market, that sometimes can run rings around some of our common go-to places locally for food, groceries and more. Los Altos Ranch Market, the one in South Phoenix on Central Avenue location in particular, is astounding in size and has a mini-mall aspect whereby everything a supermarket has as groceries, produce, meat and fish, delicatessen, dairy, yet also offers take-out from their inhouse kitchen (plus inside seating if you wish), which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a bakery and tortilleria. You can also find money services, boots and shoes, and some clothing, among quite a few other things. One of the most impressive things for me is the freshness of meats, dairy and produce, organization, cleanliness and personal service. I have yet to have any purchase returned due to lack of quality or freshness as I’ve had to at some area name markets. Although they are Southwestern conglomerate spanning California, Nevada and Arizona, you feel the vibe and service of a local, neighborhood and community market. These reasons and more are the motives for my wife to enjoy shopping here. Check it out, your pantry and tummy will...
Read moreSo I just came in here to do some shopping as Instacart worker. I am so displeased on how the cashiers be every time I step into ranch market. No the cashier was ringing out to other Hispanic customers had a full conversation was happy to help them out bag groceries. Then when it came to me she looked at me didn’t really want to speak to me and that’s perfectly fine because I don’t speak Spanish. And then got upset because she had to bag my groceries. My thing is when you give me a bad vibe and make me feel uncomfortable you get paid for doing that job. One thing as a cashier and you’re working at customer service is never supposed to make a customer feels uncomfortable at any moment. This is not my first encounter the way the cashiers act when you’re not speaking in Spanish. I’m sorry to say English is my first language. And it’s not for me to learn Spanish that’s not one thing I am going to do. I’m not trying to be racist but you’re in a state of Arizona the first language is English. And also working a customer service like this if it wasn’t for us people wouldn’t have a job. So if you don’t like doing your job do not come to work or take out on a person because they don’t speak the same languages you do. Because as I was a cashier at one point in time and I have people come and speak different languages and I never treated them know...
Read moreWife and I went for the first time about a week ago. Everything was great but we had one incident which really upset my wife. They have drinks displayed out in these big four or five gallon containers. The cups are laid out right beside them have different size cups. It all looked like it was self-serve. No signs saying to go pay elsewhere and somebody else will come out and help you. So she was getting a drink and the kitchen manager came out of nowhere and literally snatched the drink out of her hand and yelled at her saying that you need to pay for it and somebody else will come out and give you the drink. Everyone in the store looked at my wife and she was very embarrassed. If somebody else needs to get the the drink then they should remove the cups right next to the drink containers and there should be a sign stating please pay first and send me will come out there and give you your drink. The place where they put the drinks are not next to the regular food lines and there's no one maning in the counter at all. They also need to give their employees some more customer service training and learn how to talk to people. Given this review 4 stars and not less because the customer service lady which we talked to was very nice and courteous towards us and apologized for the other...
