I came here for the taco Tuesday special. I ordered 7 tacos and they were stale and barely warm some parts cold. Clearly they’re not cooked to order. Feel like they make all the ingredients in the morning and then microwave it for you when you order it or maybe everything’s in a food warmer pretty disappointing. The carne asada was chewy and the chicharron was super salty. I hope they read my review and do better. I understand if they need to pre cook a little but please get all ingredients on the flat top to cook it again so the customer can get their food hot and delicious. The only thing that made my review at least 3 stars and not 1 star was the front counter girl. She was very friendly and she spoke perfect English which was a pleasant surprise I’m used to trying to communicate with my broken Spanish but that made things much easier. I may come back if they reach out to me otherwise I won’t for sure. Much better spots in town. I paid almost $12 to still be hungry and eat again somewhere else.

My husband had the chilaquiles and they brought out a huge plate and it was very tasty. I ordered pozole and omg I was delicious. We waited for a long time before we got our order to the point I was ready to get upset that we waited for what seems to be more than 30min but the food was on point! Truly. What a great meal to start off our day. The cashier was very friendly and kind.... yes she speaks English. the restaurant isn't dressed up to be more than it should be. it's got a homey vibe and it's a little dated but it's very comfortable. there were plenty of people enjoying their company and many happy faces.the south side has great restaurants and this is one of them. Try it out.

La Olmeca is small family-run shop with three great things going for it. Great menu selection with a variety of items to choose from. Great old school diner vibe with very comfortable booths. Finally, La Olmeca has great service, which begins from the start of your order through the end of your meal.

Went on Taco Tuesday by accident - $1 or $2 each I forget. Delicious. Carnitas, pastor, cabeza, and pollo. All great. They also have asada, lengua, and I'm sure a couple more i forget. I wanted to try their menudo, but I couldn't pass up the taco deal. And had a little sticker shock over the $12.99 price. But it seems like prices on a lot of things are going up lately. Lovely companion got bean tostada which I think she enjoyed. It was gone in 90 seconds! The decor is roomy and comfortable - spotless clean. The young woman who served us ( BTW it's order at the counter - they bring it to your table which is OK) was outstanding - so friendly and efficient and attractive. Definitely a huge asset to the store. It's easy to miss in that strip mall, but make the effort to find it. You'll be flat you...
