This message essentially combines two reviews into one, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of Food City. Recently, Food City launched a new app called My Food City, which is quite similar to the Fry's Food and Pharmacy app. Like Fry's, My Food City provides fantastic incentives and great discounts on items you often buy, once you set up your My Food City account. For instance, I snagged a great deal on some cupcakes in the bakery section today. They usually cost $5.99, but I got them for just $1.99, with a limit of two, thanks to the new app. I loved that! That's definitely a positive.
On the flip side my husband and I decided to eat at the food court. I ordered a half pound of crab salad, which was just okay, and a corn dog for my husband. Looking at the bottom side, my heart sank. Silver skin everywhere, hunks of twisted tendons and fat tucked away from view. After 1 1/2 hrs of scavenging, I have a 12oz sorry ass piece that I can throw in the crock pot. 2lb,3ozs of asst sizes for stew (80% with silver skin-I did my best), and 1.3 oz of crap only useful for making bone broth once I get some bones. I was going to make a roast for Sunday's family dinner but I won't serve this to anyone but me as I know what I'll bite into. Never buying meat there again, I'll stick to...
