Subject: Disappointing Hi Skin Facial Experience – Feedback for Improvement
Dear Hi Skin Management,
I trust this message finds you well. I recently had a Hi Skin facial at your spa and felt compelled to share my experience for your consideration.
Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the kindness of the aesthetician assigned to me, Kathleen. She was pleasant, but unfortunately, the overall service left much to be desired. The ambiance was far from relaxing, with loud disruptions from people walking back and forth. This significantly impacted my ability to enjoy the facial fully.
Despite articulating my concerns to Kathleen about blackheads and whiteheads on my chin, the treatment seemed minimal. The focus was primarily on extracting a couple of blackheads with two fingers, followed by an excessive layering of lotions. I was surprised to find a lack of essential elements such as steam, utensils, and proper lighting. The absence of these components left the facial feeling incomplete and not aligned with the rejuvenating experience one expects from a spa.
Furthermore, the noise level in the spa was disruptive, and it seemed as though little attention was given to creating a serene atmosphere for clients. Considering the $79 I paid for the service, I was disheartened to hear from the receptionist during check out that it's "kind of like a chop shop." I was not aware that I was paying for a rushed and impersonal experience. I see that people get facials that do not have anything to do with a facial. It’s only giving you nothing because you’re just putting more lotions on the face never to do anything to get the impurities out or to focus on the areas that is visible that we’ve spoken about just because it says on the bottle that it exfoliates you gotta do more than that when someone’s paying you, I said, just rubbing lotion more lotion.
I share this feedback with the hope that it contributes to enhancing the quality of services at your esteemed spa. I believe addressing these concerns will not only improve customer satisfaction but also maintain the spa's reputation for excellence.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to any improvements you may implement to enhance the overall spa...
Read moreFor my daughters birthday I took her and myself to Hi, Skin for facials. When I went to pay several shady things happened. I was charged for a service I did not agree to and definitely did not want. I was told the service cost an upcharge of $125 extra. There was a service I did agree to which was $65. However the other one I had no clue about. I told the receptionist that I did not agree to this service. I did tell her my gal talked fast, mumbled, and was super quiet. The place is somewhat loud as music is on and there are 6 customers and 6 estheticians in the same small room. The receptionist told me SHE DID NOT WANT TO PLAY HE SAID SHE SAID! and she would give me 20% off the upcharge. The next thing was the prices for the facials were more than quoted online. I did book the facials through social media and she said those prices are old. I felt really uncomfortable like I was being accused of being a liar. I had planned on spending a couple hundred dollars but was charged $450 and made to feel if I didnt I was some poor person who was out of place at the fancy facial place that unknowingly and deceptively upsells you like you're at the car dealership I was told she would look into it and reach out to me. Its been 2 weeks not and I have not heard back. Also on an unrelated note, and maybe why paying over $450 is so painful is the experience was terrible. My facialist was 7 minutes late! My daughters was right on time. Being 53 min facial that was supposed to be 60 min, I had been ripped off several times over. The facial was painful (which I guess they say is normal) My skin was actually cut from the dermaplaning. My daughters skin was burned and it burned her for several days after. Thing she upcharged me for was traumatic and painful. I feel like she rushed through the whole things as she was late and I didn't even get what was included in my current facial that I had signed up for, she immediately started selling me...
Read moreI have been a member at this location for a year now. I'm in process of moving to Tempe and will have to go to the Scottsdale location now as it'll be closer, BUT to get to the heat of the meat, I cannot recommend this place enough.
For context, I have been cursed with eczema on my scalp and face, leading to periodic flare-ups, flaky skin, generally not a good look in the facial department. I decided it was time to do something about it and started coming here after doing some research. It is not your typical skincare spa and resort, but more so a facial that is personalized towards your main areas of concern. The studio is not loud - bear in mind sometimes we sacrifice small comforts for big results.
The staff is fantastic. The results for me and my skin are great. They do typically recommend some products that are also personalized. To some people it can seem a bit salesman-ish but theres always a chance you can ask for a sample. In other cases my esthetician has simply asked if I needed to stock up on products. If you become a regular member you'll of course be able to stick with the same person and start building a client relationship there, so just some things to consider.
There are many places out there specifically designed to give you the full cucumber-eye pampering experience, but if you're anything like me and want to keep your face in good healthy condition skincare-wise, it is worth the investment if you are...
