Japanese Engine Works — Attraction in Phoenix

First a little backstory: My Honda Accord had been used and abused by an incompetent mechanic and would not run anymore. The car sat for months in the hot Arizona summer sun and the engine was basically taken apart and put back together but missing a number of parts, wires moved around, etc. A relative of mine recommended me this shop. Mike and his team were able to diagnose the issue and bring my car back to life! I was thrilled to finally drive my beloved car again! Mike was able to cut me a price I can afford during a time I was unemployed and suriving on what was left in my bank account. I'm very grateful for his work. The reason why I gave only 4 stars is because there are limits they will not go beyond; I had to find a replacement transmission and torque converter myself or my other option is a rebuild which is worth almost as much as the car itself. I was lucky to find a good deal on Craigslist. Mike was almost scared when I mentioned "J35A8" you can imagine I was pretty disappointed Japanese Engine Works didn't want to accept the task of swapping a V6 with another V6 even though there's like 50 engines sitting in the back of the shop. Very recently I had Mike give me a quote on a motor mount. The business next door quoted less but Mike had no problem telling me to go with them. He was helpful with showing me which mounts were bad and how much the engine wiggled so I can be more educated on what exactly needed to be done. If you're looking for an honest, fair, efficient, and very reputable auto mechanic, then go no further. This is how Mike was referred to me and after Twenty years he has held to this standard.
