Mariscos y Sushi El Kora — Restaurant in Phoenix

We were so excited for this place and left us completely disappointed. Terrible service from the beginning. We were never asked for refills or if we needed anything. We felt ignored the entire time. The scallops were not fresh (but fishy), sushi was disgusting and the shrimp was way overdone on the tacos. The ranch tasted rotten so couldn’t even enjoy the wings. The presentation in the mango roll was pretty. Everything tasted like a health hazard. When I expressed the quality of the food to the manager, she denied all issues and didn’t offer to discount some of the dishes. The staff huddled up in a corner while I waited to settle the bill. I had to get up and walk up to pay at the counter. I still paid the full amount…. As an immigrant from Mexico, and I am well versed in authentic seafood dishes....

The staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be. The music was so high treble and tinny, it actually irritated my ears. The wonderful staff tried to do something about it, but didn't have the capability. The other food looked pretty good and it probably was fine. But the sushi was a disgrace to all sushi chefs on the planet. Calling shrimp rolled in A LOT of rice, Sushi is a far cry from reality, especially for the price. There was soo much rice to meat ratio, I literally cut some off. No ginger, no Wasabi, and i have no idea what that watered-down brown stuff was that they called soy sauce, but it sure as heck was...

I stopped by to support my neighbor business And to try out the food

The food was good I’m not gonna bash them on that But I asked for two cups of water because the don’t sell beer yet But I was charged 2 limonadas They did offer aguacate for extra but 7 dollars for it is a little questionable

Not to mention the convince fee for using my debit card

I understand cost of living is up But damn your gonna scare your customers away before your even...
