Updated review: After we originally cancelled the pool handrail project we received a call that the handrail finally came and and that Leslie's would like us to give them another chance to make things right. Donovan (store manager) helped reschedule another pool assessment (we had a pool fence put up in the meantime and needed new measurements taken to make sure the handrail would still work) and was able to expedite that service. He provided frequent phone calls to keep me in the loop with the new plan and was able to provide us a really good discount on the handrail installation to help make up for our previous frustrations. Donovan did a great job helping make things right, really improved the communication process, and we are moving forward with the handrail installation tomorrow.
We’ve have used Leslie‘s pool supplies for routine things like picking up new parts for the pool etc. and it’s fine for that, but we have had a horrible experience with their product installation services.
We have been trying to get a pool handrail installed. One of their techs came out to our home to do an estimate in early July. I was not home at the time and never received any information from them on the cost or plan and it took multiple phone calls and 2 weeks later finally got in touch with someone. We placed the order for the handrail and plans for installation, and now 2 1/2 months later the handrail still has not come in. I have called for status updates about every two weeks, and every time I call I let them know that I have not been happy with the communication on their end and have requested they please provide more frequent updates on the progress and still nobody ever calls.
It has been a very frustrating process working with them. As of today I have canceled the services through them and we will be finding another company to do this...
Read moreStopped in here to get a pool light for one of our properties. We have 10 pools on all our properties, so we shop a lot. Decided to change one of the incandescent bulbs for an LED. A little over a week later, my maintenance guy was going to install the bulb. We opened the box, and the seal was missing, and the bulb was damaged. I went back to the store to exchange the bulb. This is where things turned. The guy at the counter immediately raised his voice and asked me, "What did you do to the bulb? We don't sell them like this! You must have damaged it, we can not return it. " I told him I did not do this, and this is absolutely the way I got it. He argued some more and finally contacted the manager. Turns out it was the manager who sold me the bulb initially. They ended up giving me a replacement, which I examined thoroughly. Moral here, if you buy a bulb, examine it in front of the clerk, then have them sign the receipt. I...
Read moreI really regret not noting the name of the employee that helped me when I visited last week, because this is 99% a matter of a really great experience with him more so than the store (not that I've anything negative to say about them...seemed to have good availability and prices similar to what I'd see online). But yeah, a big thanks to that employee who answered all of my newbie questions (even some that were probably dumb and obvious), who supported the notion that I DIDN'T need to replace a part when I wasn't sure + gave me input on what I may need to readjust, and who informed me about things I hadn't considered but definitely needed (which I confirmed after). I'm glad this store is down the street from me, and I'll update this in the future if I have any different experience with the STORE, in spite of that great customer...
