Mercury Mine Basin Park is the perfect blend of functionality and charm! The playground is a big hit, offering shaded structures and enough slides and climbing spaces to keep kids entertained for hours. If you’re looking to throw a football, the park’s wide open field has all the space you need—just don’t expect emerald-green grass; the desert climate keeps it more of a rustic brown. That said, it’s surprisingly dust-free, so your shoes stay clean while you run around. For bike and scooter enthusiasts, the paved paths are a dream—smooth, spacious, and perfect for zooming around without a care. The picnic area is shaded and inviting, making it ideal for a snack break or just hanging out while the kids play. It’s not the fanciest park, but it has everything you need for a fun, relaxed outing. A five-star spot for families who appreciate low-key outdoor fun!

A good park, very dead, only saw a few people, has a porti-potti, a grill, picnic tables, benches, a few swings and a playground. The walk around the whole thing is a quarter of a mile at the most.

Great neighborhood park for the kids. Large grassy area with a concrete track around the perimeter. It has playground equipment which is covered and swings.

Mercury Mine Park is actually a flood basin/neighborhood park located by 34th street & Mountain View in north Phx. It doesnt boast much in the way of amenities, but has always been a good place for local kids to practice pitching and hitting, and a little frisbee tossing. It has also been helpful during heavy rains to stop floods from inundating the residences there, an occurence that was a major problem before Mercury Mine and several other flood basins were built...

Nice park. Kids love it except when people allow their dogs to run free in the park. My child is scared to death of dogs and cannot enjoy the park when he sees loose dogs. There is a leash law but it does not matter to some. Not everyone loves or likes dogs. None the less still...
