I usually don’t write reviews but after reading a couple and seen a few people sharing the same experience I would like to give mine too.
Not to long ago I went to this antique store for the first time ever, I was very exited to go since I love going to the brass armadillo near where I live. I had high hopes for this store but unfortunately left within 30 mins from being so uncomfortable. I came in as soon as they opened, once I step in 3 workers were at the front and not one person said anything they all just looked at me, I thought okay whatever. As I’m browsing each isle I noticed a woman not sure if she was a worker or a seller but she was very friendly with the staff and she had seemed to be working there, I’m not sure what her name was but she kept passing by me every corner of the isle. after what felt like the 10th time this woman had passed me I started to feel anxious so I started to sped walk in hopes of losing her that way I can be at my own peace. Once I finally lost her about 5 mins I find her sitting on I believe a small bench with a man talking, again not thinking much of it I continue browsing. there was another customer coming down the same isle when the woman had acknowledged her and greeted her. It took me back for a moment because not once did she greet me BUT she had followed me since the moment I came in. I wanted to leave but I did not want the staff to think that I had just came in the store to steal or if I had no intention buying anything so I bought a few jewelry pieces. Once I had came to the register that’s when they wanted to talk to me. It felt as though now since I’m buying something, whatever speculation they’ve had of me in the beginning clearly aren’t true. I’ve never came back to the store since and I am so sorry to anybody else who’ve have had this same experience because clearly this isn’t the...
Read moreI talked to Carol on the phone and explained that I had a tea set with markings from Colombia with 0900 stamped on it. Which is sterling silver. When I went to store she asked what I was wanting for it and I said as close to scrap prices as possible. I gave her a tea kettle two small pouring saucers, and a large pitcher for water. It easily weighed 3 lbs. I should have bare minimum gotten offered a little over $1000. I left there with $100. And to top it off she first offered $100 for the three items then when I said ok you will give me $100 for the three items she said and the large pitcher too. So then I said with the rest of my stuff I’ll probably do consignment with someone, and she said they will only give you 30-60% value. Well she gave me just under 10%. Now I am not the most presentable person generally speaking since I am covered in tattoos. But those were my late grandparents belongings that were passed down to me and I’m currently struggling with my financial obligations. Long story short if you look a certain way I definitely wouldn’t go to ANTIQUE GATHERINGS on 10615 N 32nd St. let me correct that by saying I wouldn’t deal with the lady named Carol at that location. She smiled at me like she was going to help me out but...
Read moreVisited Wednesday 01/06/2021. The two employees were not wearing masks. There were also 2 customers talking to the employees when I entered. They were also not wearing a mask. Despite this store’s 20,000 square foot of space to social distance, ad mentioned by the owner in previous responses, the group of four maskless people were huddled together talking about politics. After the two customers left, another man came in and went behind the desk with his domino’s pizza boxes. He, an employee as well, had no mask and was less than 6 feet away from the other two employees.
This crude paper was on the check out counter says (see photo): “40 years worth of research for HIV...no vaccine. At least 100 years of research for cancer...no vaccine. Ongoing research for common cold...no vaccine. Less than a year for COVID-19 vaccine. I’ll pass that shot!! Wake up people!!”
This is not only ignorant but is missinformative. I suspect no employee at this business is a licensed healthcare professional and should not be encouraging the public to NOT receive a vaccine.
Phoenix COVID cases are on the rise, and according to the CDC (01/06/2021) Arizona was #1 in the world for highest COVID infection rate. Wake up people to that!
