So me and my mom wanted a simply daughter mom nail day because it has been over a year since we wanted to do this. I looked at the reviews online and saw pictures so instead of driving somewhere far I went to the one right by mom's house. We walk and get told to sign in on the tablet and sit for 20 minutes. We then get instructed to get our toes done first. So at this point they had a nail color station but it had a sign that said do not touch. So as I'm waiting I ask one of the young ladies if I am able to select the color for toes over there or how does it work. She said yes I can pick a color so as soon as I go to do that she instructs me to sit down at her desk instead. Which I'm confused because she just sat me and my mom down so we could get our toes down first. So asks me what I want so from this exact building someone posted a photo of brown ombré looking nails. And I explained I needed something professional. She grabs both my hands and spraying them and also while saying go ahead and look at the book which how am I suppose to do if she's constantly grabbing my hands. So out of politeness and asked confusedly wasn't I getting toes done first? So she sent to grab a book of nails that color on them and as I am walking back in her native language starts throwing a fit and yelling. I never came at anyone passive aggressive or even yelling. So it made me uncomfortable and just wanted to leave right then and there. I mean I got my toes done no color they already did a horrible job on my moms toes I decided it was best not to do color. Even when I was sitting down with the girl she did not help me find the color and kept recommending ugly bright colors that did not match my skin tone. I mean feel like if it was the other way around and someone came in for service and instead of doing my job I yelling in my native language and it can be suggested by body language then I'd be called racist and every other thing. But I guess small nail businesses like these thinks it's okay to be judge-mental and treat people like this and it's unacceptable. For both of us it was $71 and yes neither of us tipped the poor service we received. Al I got was #5 for my feet and nothing else. Really disappointed but glad I went somewhere else where I wasn't discriminated against and got service and even...
Read moreI just moved to the Phoenix area and tried this place out. This is a long review sorry in advance. I got the owner apparently, I showed him the picture of the nails I wanted which were a square design and went about it. Then, when he is shaping my nails I notice he shaped my nails in a coffin. Before he adds the acrylic I mention this to him that I would like them more square like in the photo, he cuts me off and says it is square just a skinny square and continues to add the acrylic. Then, I tell him if he can just have someone fix them because I got a second opinion on the shape from one of the workers there and she too said it was a coffin. I asked if he can just fix them, he says he has to take them off to fix them I said okay that’s fine. After he takes them off I ask if someone will be able to fix them for sure he says it’s up to them. He then goes off about how I wasted his time and that I was “weird” but I mentioned to him I didn’t mean to waste his time that’s why I mentioned it before he started the acrylic. Then he cuts the nails off and just storms off to the back. I ask one of the workers who mentioned the shape was coffin if I’ll be able to get my pedicure she tells me it’s up to him cause he’s the boss. She goes to grab him and he comes up and says I have to pay for my pedicure before I get the service. I didn’t mind at all, however I asked if I’ll be able to get my hands fixed since I still had the acrylic on he just cut it down he says nobody wants to do my nails. So I say it’s okay can someone just please take them off the lady begins to take them off but then walks away to sit in a pedicure chair to watch her phone. Then comes back to finish again but then more people walked in and she goes to start a pedicure. I ended up walking out because I was patient enough after waiting 2 hours only for the owner to treat me so...
Read moreI'd say just average. The girl did a good job cleaning up the cuticles but the nail polish was not what I asked for although it is fine enough since I change my polish often--it won't be there for long. The skin also felt really tight on my hands when I left...not sure if that was a chemical they used, perhaps the alcohol. As soon as she finished painting the top coat It felt like I was supposed to leave because the girl immediately took the towel from under my hands and just went back to sit on one of the pedicure chairs on her phone without really telling me what to do, but my polish was still wet having just been painted. I was told by the man who was next to me (working on another client by this time) it'd take 10-30 min to dry but I could leave whenever. Other salons I've been to do a fan or a light on the hands for about ten min to make you sit still and at least get it mostly dry and then let you know you can go. I've never been told I could go right after top coat was applied before.
Overall the place felt unwelcoming as I was shuffled off to a seat and one of the men sat down right next to me, didn't say a word, and was on his phone the whole time while a young woman did my nails. I'm unsure why he needed to be right next to me when the place was empty of customers and all the other 3-4 women were on their phones in the pedicure chairs...it definitely made me feel uncomfortable.
The place is clean and well lit, decorated well. From the photos on Google it looks like they do a very nice job if you're getting acrylics. All I wanted was a basic manicure with regular polish since I change my polish myself all the time so it's easier to remove than gel...perhaps it's a better place if you're getting more elaborate or...
