I freakin love this place.
In the beginning it really surprised me. I came in expecting just another place to lift and sweat, but it’s actually way more than that. The equipment is top of the line, always clean, and I’ve never had to fight someone for machines. The crowd’s chill, all kinds of people, and everyone respects each other’s space—unless you’re mid-set and look like you might pass out, in which case somebody’s gonna step in and help. The staff? Awesome. Chris runs the place like he built it from scratch, which he did. Betty knows more about anatomy and technique than my surgeon, and Kelly’s the kind of guy who just appears wh something’s off, fixes it, nods, and disappears like a gym ninja.
I’ve also been using their laser light therapy after a couple surgeries, and it’s making a real difference. My nervincisions are healing quicker than expected, and I feel like I’m bouncing back faster. There’s also chiropractic work and other recovery options I didn’t even know I needed until I tried them. Honestly, Tangible feels like a hybrid between a gym, a clinic, and a wellness center where most of the people are somehow both friendly and great to look at. I’m not saying that’s why I show up early… but it doesn’t hurt. Their tanning equipment is also excellent but don't tell anyone that I tan. Everyone thinks it's from being a rugged outdoorsman. 😂 I...
Read moreI chose this gym because of the low population during peak hours, I was told that there was a membership cap so it wouldn’t get too crowded. The air conditioning was not great and the equipment was old but I didn’t have to wait on for anyone while working out. After a year, the population slowly increased to the point I was waiting or just moved on to the next lift or the one after. They also implement a surge charge every other month to pay for new equipment and other improvements which if there was new equipment it was used. They have some technical issues with accessing the gym, they will make you down load a couple applications. They tell you that they don’t track you but my phone indicated that it was being tracked. They are over complicating the process making it a pain. In my opinion you’re better off going to the big name gyms and pay less. If you are able to go at non peak hours and can handle sub par AC and old equipment and don’t mind paying a little extra to go to a small facility then go ahead. On a positive note the...
Read moreLove this gym! I've never really felt at "home" in a gym until I started going to Tangible a few years ago. If you feel intimidated that you might not be good enough or know what you're doing in the gym, try Tangible! While there are plenty of gym experts that go here, there are also plenty of members that are more novice level. This gym has all the equipment you could ever need without being a huge and super busy gym. Management regularly maintains equipment as needed. And they also take recommendations from member to improve or swap out to new types of machines and equipment. For the most part, fellow members are very respectful about distancing and are very diligent about wiping down their equipment after use in this post pandemic gym environment. Even at peak hours this gym never really feels that crowded. At certain times you might have most of the gym...
