Lofts of Mount Washington — Attraction in Pittsburgh

Let me first say, Noreen (property manager) is everything!!! She goes out her way to help. I moved from Atlanta to Pittsburgh, knew nothing about pittsburgh, but Noreen was right there to help me figure out transportation and the best routes to work. Noreen please keep up your excellent customer service. The maintenance crew at the lofts were everything, on time and very ready to help. The apartments are beautiful, however out of the 12 months I was there, I suffered 7 months with an ANT infestation. Please see pics. Maintenance did the best they could do, but the Ants had a home outside my apartment and came in often. I am very clean, but the ANTS did not care they came in. I had a LOUD drip for 5 months in the master bedroom. Maintenance came out twice, there was nothing they could do about it. I turned a loud fan on for those 5 months to tune out the drip, and that’s how I slept. The elevator and hallways smell like wet dog, if you don’t have a problem with that, then you will be fine living here. Very spacious apartment with nice layout for a family. We were especially happy that there were two single beds in the second bedroom - this is not common and very much appreciated with two teenagers. Very tall ceilings and big windows provided very open and airy feeling to the space. Couch and love seat in the living room were nice and comfortable and so was the dining room table. Wifi was great! Both the adults and the kids beds are not very comfortable. When we pulled the shades, half a dozen dead flies fell off (otherwise the place was clean). The kitchen needs at least 1 knife that can cut. There is a set of knifes, but all can only cut bread. Chopping vegetables was a real challenge, and my husband had to cut the watermelon as neither me nor my 17 year old could cut it because the knife was bad. Keep in mind you need to bring shampoo, conditioner, salt and pepper. I loved living at the Lofts of Mount Washington! The building is well maintained, clean, and secure, both in common spaces and apartments. Noreen was extremely helpful and communicative during the duration of my leases. Apartments are well insulated from sounds of other neighbors, which is hard to find in newer builds. The apartments themselves are well furnished with good appliances and wood cabinetry. Walking distance to shops and Grandview/incline was very convenient.
