Disappointed. I was told my remote start would take 3-4 hours to install. I dropped the vehicle off at 10am which was my appointment time. I called at 2pm, the car isn't done. I called at 6pm, the car isn't done. I was told to come and pick it up at 8pm. Drove over to the shop from our home on the NW side at 8pm, car still not done. We were told to come back at 9pm. Came back at 9pm, car still not done. Told to come back at 10pm, we came back at 10pm, car still not done. We finally gave up and drove back to our home on the NW side of town. at 11:10pm we got a call that the car was done. We told them we'd come by in the morning to pick it up. We arrived in the AM to pick up my car, while still in the shop parking lot upon starting my car with the remote, my car began turning itself on and off every 30 seconds or so, I went back into the shop, again they brought my car back into the shop and worked on it while I waited. Something was installed improperly and the problem was fixed within a half hour. As I got into my car to drive away but this time I noticed the "check battery" light was on, again, I went back into the shop, but I was told that had nothing to do with their installation whatsoever, even though that light was never on prior to their installation. And the light still comes on, every time I start the car with the remote. I was advised that if I bring the car back it will cost $100 IF the problem is not due to their installation, I am very concerned about bringing my car back in, for the simple fact that I don't think they would admit it was their installation that is causing the problem one way or the other, I also don't want them to have my car for another long period of time. I really do not recommend this...
Read moreTerrible customer service, avoid at all costs. I scheduled my car for a detail which was supposed to take one business day. Somehow they burned a hole in part of my car which subsequently took them two more days to fix. Initially they told me it would be done the next day. I even called in the afternoon because I hadn't heard anything and wanted to make sure i was still going to be able to pick it up. Thirty minutes after I called them, they called back to say it would now be another day. I ended up having to get a rental car and was not reimbursed in anyway by the owner for my inconvenience.
As if this wasn't bad enough the owner (Josh) was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Though I didn't have to pay for the detail I had already purchased the Groupon and was out the money (Groupon, who has fabulous customer service, actually reimbursed me part of the price, an unexpected but kind gesture). The end result of the detail was fine, but you can certainly get car details at many other local places without the attitude.
And as a kicker, my floor matts were never put back into my vehicle. When we called about it we were told that this has been happening a lot lately and they had several sets and we would have to come look to see if mine were there. When we went out there again, they had apparently gotten rid of them. So now I have to buy new matts.
Final thought, note the glowing review of this place by Josh Smith. He's the owner. Apparently he decided to review his own business in hope of neutralizing all the complaints. Also his responses to other's negative reviews on this place have a condescending tone to them. Again, avoid...
Read moreAfter purchasing a new car a year ago 2015 GMC Acadia the car salesman told me he had a "friend" at the electronics Guru who could install a DVD player. After 8 months I noticed that the roof panel that the DVD was hooked to was sagging and no longer hooked or attached to the roof of the vehicle.
I stopped by Extreme Electronics and they took it apart and showed me that the the DVD player was attached with Glass Epoxy to the roof. It had not held. He told me that the player should have been attached to the roof supports by screws.
I called the Guru and spoke with the installer who told me that the epoxy is the way that he installs those. When I mentioned this other way he told me it wasn't possible to install it that way and he would re-install it the the same way as before. I was not going to have them install it the same way when it only held for a whopping 8 months! I watched Extreme electronics install the player and they DID install a bracket that allowed them to screw and securely fasten the DVD player correctly to the roof support.
I don't know how they can be installing these systems when they obviously don't know other ways of doing it correctly. I will never use them again and it cost me an additional 150 dollars to have it done again the correct way! Hey Guru, will you pay my bill since it wasn't done correctly by you the first time? It would mean a lot if you did to me and the thousands of people that will read this review? Ball is...
